It was 'suggested that an ef-
fort 'for better attendance be
tried this year in the form of a
contest. The secretary of each
unit to record the attendance
of each member, also a guest
that they 'may bring, and at the
end of the year, the Units with
the lowest attendanCe and the
second lowest, entertain. the
Unit with the .best attendance.
This is to create more interest
to attend the general meetings
and to learn more of the work
of the UCW.

and lunch ,was served by the
members of Unit One.

boro, the Valley Area, to. see the
Auburn Community Memorial.

impressed by Auburn hall and
took plattres and details back
to their -committee. This com-
munity ts situated about six
miles from Hamilton.

er, the financial statement was
given by Mrs.' Oliver Anderson,
who also received the fees for
the. year's membership. The cor-
respondence was read. by the
secretary inthe absence of Miss
Margaret Jackson.
Unit reports were given: by
the 'leader which proved that a
lot of faithful planning and
work had been done. The supply
report stated that bales weigh-
ing 665 lbs.,' and valued at $1,-
815.41 had been sent overseas
and that the ),allocation for home
missions bad been appreciated.
As' there had been no .Dec-
ember meeting, the finances
