Rev, JaCk West, a native oaf
Clinton, is s'ched'uled as the
feature speaker in the "New.
Life Crusade" at Bethel Church,
Elgin at Waterloo, in Goderich,
according to Rev, Robert Clark,
pastor of the church.
Mr. West served as pastor in
Springfield, Missouri, for near-
ly 12 years and since July of
1963 he has travelled extensive-
ly in Canada and the United
States.
Speaking engagements for
the year 1964 will have, numb-
ered nearly 500, and have tak-
en him to Montreal, Hamilton,
London and Saskatoon as well
as' to Long Beadh, California,
Salem, Oregon, Charlotte', N.
Carolina and a number of oth-*
er cities in both countries.
"Turning Point"
The opening service of •the
"New Life Crusade" features
Rev. Jack West's message,
"Turning Point". Other addres-
ses planned for these special
services include, "The Master
of the Storm", "Heart Peace-
How TO, Find It".
A e special dramatized mess-
age is to be presented in the
Sunday School Rally, entitled
"The Runaway Slave", on Sun-
day, Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. The
cast, in colorful costume will
dramatize the book of Philemon
with the Apostle Paul encount-
ering Onesirnus the runaway
slave, after being brutally han-
dled by the Roman soldiers.

held their December meeting
on Thursday, Mrs. Bert Shob-
brook conducted -the opening
exercises, followed by minutes
and treasurer's report. Mrs.
Stan Lyon gave a Christmas
reading entitled "The Gift of
the Wise Men".,
Rev. William Mains, as guest
speaker, gave a talk on Christ-
mas, pointing out the commer-
cializing of Christmas and the
subsequent loss of the true
meaning.
Will Gooier spent a few days
this past week 'in Goderich hos-
pital but was able to return
home on Sunday.
Mrs. Robert Fairservice of
London, and Ann spent Satur-
day night with Mrs, Lily Web-
ster.
Mrs. Carson and son, Neil,-
returned last Wednesday from
a two months' visit with her
parents in Ireland.
Mrs. Robert Watson was able
to get home on Friday after
undergoing surgery in Clinton
Plablic Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Gaunt
Ltleknow and John Gaunt of
Alberta, visited on Sunday With
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gaunt. John
remained for :few days.

Scott. Cohn Fingland was the
chairman for the evening.
The class -of Primary girls
sang a song, "Christmas Cand-
les", with their teachers, Mrs.
Jack Armstrong and Mrs. Ro-
bert Arthur. The Primary boys
presented a recitation by Larry
Plaetzer, in charge of their
teachers, Mr. William L. Craig
and Mrs. Oliver Anderson.
The Nursery class with, their
teacher, Mrs. Leonard Archam-
bault had a recitation by And-
rew Koopmans and 'the Good-
Will girls' class gave a piano
instrumental by Jennifer
Grange and a vocal solo by
Betty Moss. Miss Joan Mills
is the teacher of this class and

The Kindergarten class gave
the Christmas Story in two
songs. They were directed by
their teacher, Miss Marsha
Kooprnans assisted by Miss
Bernice McDougall and Miss
IVfartie Koopmans. The Boys
Explorer class had Murray
Wightunan play a piano solo.
Their teacher is Tom Cunning-
ham and his assistant is Jack
Durnin.
The Sunshine Girls with their
teacher, Mrs. Beet Craig, pre-
sented a skit, "Live a Borrow-
ed Life". Mrs. John Durnin is
the assistant to this class. The
Senior boys' class had Stephen
Haggitt do a selection and the
teacher of- this class is Percy
Youngblut, assisted by Leonard
Atchambault.
The Junior Bible class with
Walter Cunningham, their tea-
cher, presented a number and
the Senior Bible Class had Aub-
rey Toll sing 'a 'solo. Mr. Harold
Webster is the president of 'this
class.
