The following is a copy of the
operative portion of the by-law
that it is proposed to consider;
"The Corporation of the Town
of Clinton enacts as follows:
1. A portion of the public lane
or highway, as laid out in the
Registry Office for the Registry
Division of the County of Huron
on registered Plan No. 6 for the
Town of Clinton and as more
particularly described hereafter.
is hereby stopped up and closed.
The description of the said lane
is as follows;
ALL ,AND SINGULAR that
certain parcel or tract of land
and premises situate, lying and;
being in the Town of Clinton in
the County of Huron and Prov-
ince of Ontario and being more
particularly composed of part of
the lane lying North and East of
Lots 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, all as
shown on Registered Plan No. 6
for the said Town of Clinton,
the boundaries of said parcel
being more particularly desceib-
ed as follows:
COMMENCING at the North-
westerly angle of said Lot 8;
THENCE North 30° East a dis-
tance of 10 ft to a point in the
Northerly limit of said lane;
THENCE South 60° East and
along the Northerly limit of said
land to the intersection with the
Easterly limit of said lane;
THENCE South 30° West and
along the Easterly limit of said
lane to its intersection with the
Northerly limit of Ontario St.;
, THENCE North 60° West along
this last mentioned limit a dis-
tance of 10 ft. to the South-
easterly angle of said Lot 12;

2. The lands described in para-
graph 1 shall be transferred and
conveyed to ,Lorne Brown Mot-
ors Limited, the owner of lands
adjoining thereto.
3. The Mayor and Clerk-Treas-
urer of the Corporation are
-hereby authorized and empower-
ed to execute on behalf of the
Corporation of the Town of
Clinton a Deed and •Conveyance
of the said lands to Lorne Brown
Motors Limited and to affix to
the said Deed the Corporate Seal
of the said Corporation.
4. Upon receipt by the Corpora-
tion of a good and valid Deed or
Conveyance of the following

ketable title to the said lands

Corporation cloth hereby declare

street allowance and the Corp-
oration hereby establishes the

Mr. Hill said after the meet-
ing the provincial board has
been trying for three years to
persuade the bean board to
sever its connection with the
plant.
Hurts Small Dealers
"We have meetings but then
they (the bean board) go home
and forget all about it," he said.
Mr. Hill who attended ;the
meeting in the capacity of a
"potential Huron County bean
grower" told the growers: "If
you wish to change the law,
then that is up to you. We in
the farm, products marketing
board only administer it."
He said several small bean
deaIers—including the Middle-
sex Farmers' Co-operative —
have been forced out of busi-
ness by the London plant,
thereby reducing competition to
the disadvantage of the 'grow-
ers.
District Two with 1,500 grow-
ers is the largest bean procluc-
ing area of the five districts
covered by the board. The other
districts are Elgin, Kent, Lamb-
ton and Middlesex counties,

drew 357 votes; Mr. Flynn got
229 votes.

Vincent, Don Buchanan, Jas.
McEwing and Leonard Archam-
bault was returned to office
by acclamation,
The five school trustees were
also returned by acclamation.

pital for 'surgery.
