Mrs, Harold Xing fell at her
home last Friday evening and
broke her arm. She was a Pat-
ient at Glinthn public Hospital
until last Sunday afternoon.

Agnes Stirling
Buried Tuesday
At Bayfield
Miss Agnes Stirling—a Hay-
field native for more than 80
years—died on Sunday at Hue"-
onvieyv Home for the Aged! at
Clinton: She was 97 Years 04
Miss Stirling, was kern May
30, 1867, at Duides, Ont,, the
daughter of the late Arelitheid
Stirling and Mary Anne Gil-
mour.
She spent the first seven
Yeare of her life at Dundas, and
later moved to Bayfield where
she lived for more than sp
years.
She had been' e Ige est at Hur-
onview since the winter of 1954.
Miss Stirling was a member of
Hayfield' Prebyterian . Church.
The funeral was Tuesday
from Stiles Funeral Home at
Gaderich with Rev. A. G. Pease
officiating. Interment was in
Hayfield Cemetery.
Miss Stirling is survived by
nephews and nieces including:
Chester Nicholson of Goderich;
Rhea and Edna Stirling of Lon-
don; Roy Dewar of London and
Chester Johnstone of Santa.

Chancel Guild
Holds Meeting
The November Meeting of
the Chancel Guild of Trinity
Anglican Church was held att
the home of Mrs. F. P. Arkell
on November 24 With Mrs. Jack
Cluff, president; in the chair.
Discussion included decora-
tion of the church for Christ-
was and cleaning of the choir
vestments. Mrs. L. Smith and
Mrs. L. Scotchmer will perform
altar duties during December
and Mrs. P. Weston and Mrs.
F. Weston during January.
The Rev. E. J. B. Harrison,
rector, announced a six-lesson
carol service will be held near
Christmas, and closed the'
meeting with prayer and bene-
diction.
During the social hour which
followed a lunch was served
featuring a birthday cake in
honor of Mrs'. J. Cluff and
Mrs, P. Weston,. The January
meeting will be held at the
home of Mrs. Lloyd Scotchmer.
Brucefield UCW
Holds Meeting
Fourteen members of Unit
One of the Brucefield ITCW at-
tended the regular meeting re-
cently held at the home of Mrs.
George Clifton. Two visitors
also attended.
Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. Daw-
son and Mrs. E. Allan were in
charge of devotions which
were conducted on the theme
"Remembrance",
Mrs. W. Broadfoot was in
charge of the business meeting-
in the absence of the president,
Mrs. H. Taylor.
Mrs. Berry in the 'treasurer's
report said $90 had been clear-
ed at the banquet. It was de-
aided to hold a bake sale on
Saturday, Dec. 5 in Dalrymple's
ShoW Room at 2:30 p.m., and a
miscellaneous table of gift's.
Thes CIhrietmas parity will be
held at the home of Mrs. Trieb-
ner with an exchange of gifts.
Lunch was served by Mrs'.
Clifton and her cibrannititee, and
Mrs. Berry thanked her for her
hospitallW.

Mrs. Larson -' distributed a
new booklet for daily devotions,
"Our Response To God". -
Mrs. Gairdner introduced the
new study book "This Is My
Calling", and the rector closed
the meeting with prayer. The
hostess, Mrs. J. M. Stewart was
assisted in serving tea by Mrs,
R. B. Johnston and Mrs. Percy
Weston.

quietly celebrating their 45th
wedding 'anniversary at hatne.
Their grandson, Charles Mus-

lectures and discussions were
four Assistant District Com-
missioners from this Area: Sid
Brucefield; Glen. WpPt41-
cad, Exeter' Dick MacRae and
John Marshall, RCAF Clinton,
and Larry McIntosh, Seottimas-
ter, St. Marys.
