Clinton Airmen Decorated
The five RCAF Station Clinton airmen shown above were presented with
the Canadian Forces Decoration at 'a recent Station Parade by Group Cap-
tain K. R. Greenaway, Commanding Officer. From the left the airmen are:

accessories. They carried bou-
quets of yellow roses,
Wm. Gallow of Goderich was
the groomsman and Henry
Lansink of Seaforth and Ray-
mond Garon of Clinton ushered
the guests.
A reception followed in the
Hotel Clinton. The bride's mo-
ther received guests wearing a
cranberry red dress with black
lace, She wore a matching hat
and black accessories, and
corsage of yellow roses. The
groom's mother assisted, wear-
ing a navy blue velvet suit with
a White -hat 'and white acces-
sories. tier corsage was of yel-
low roses.
For a wedding trip to the
West Coast the bride donned -a
black and white wool crepe suit
with a black and white feather
hat. Her corsage was of pink
roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson will
reside in Seaforth.

Bowling Tournament Prize Winners
A total of 28 bowlers competed in the second RCAF Station Clinton Mara-
thon ,13owling Tournament redently a t the RCAF bowling lanes. F/L Jerry
Kingwell who tied for third highest single • presented the prizes. He
had tied with Jack Carrick at 311, and lost after two play-offs df five frames
each. Highest score for thetournament was 393 scored by F/S Al McKenzie.

The young People of Lon-
desboro, Burns and 'Constance
met in,- the- United Church at
Constance on • Sunday, evening;
November 15. ' • -
The meeting was opened with
a sing-song led by the Presi-
dent, Ken Scott, and Barbara
Snell. The scripture was read
by Jeffrey siwciatoc and was
followed by a hymn. Shirley
Honking led in prayer.
Jeffrey Snaddick introduced
the topic on "dating." Four
groups were formed for discus-
sion on the topic after which
each group reported back to
the main group.
The minutes of the last
meeting were read and adopt-
ed; David Medd gave the treas-
urers report, and lunch was

The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a floor-
length gown of deep yellow
roses over a plain yellow back-
ground, with a Matching long-
sleeved jacket, She wore a yel-
low rose hat and carried a bou-
quet of red roses.

Farmers Visit Plant
KIPPEN — Thirty-seven Hu-
ron County farmers from this
district visited the Farmers' Al-
lied Meat Enterprise processing
plant at Burlington last week.
Later in the day they visited
the Royal Agricultural Winter
Fair in Toronto.

Ex-Mayor Huckins
Dies At Goderich
GODERICH Ex-Goderich
mayor John E. Huckins died
Saturday at Alexandra Marine
and General Hospital. He was
Years old.
He came here from England
in 1912, and was associated with
municipal politics for 32_ years
during which time he served
as a councillor from 1934 to
1947; reeve in 1948; mayor
from 1951 to 1956, and coun-
cillor from 1959 to 1960, when
he retired.
For many years 'he owned
and operated a company engag-
ed in • hauling coal from the
Goderich docks to businesses in
town.

Miss Grace Flewitt and her
fiance, Morgan Strassburger of
Kitchener, were guests of hon-
our at a social evening held
last Friday night at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor,

Mrs. Don -Middleton pinned
corsages on the bride-elect and
her mother, Mrs. Sam. Flewitt.
Euchre Was played and, the
prize winners. were: Miss Carol
Taylor, Don Welsh, Grace
Flewitt and Peter Postill. Mrs.
Fred Middleton had the most
lone hands.
Mrs. Bernard Sturgeon of
Bayfield read a rhymed address
and Albert Craig' presented the
young couple with a pole lamp.
Lunch was served 'by the
ladies.
Eighteen Attend
Unit Four Meet
Of Ont. St. UCW
Eighteen members attended
the meeting of Unit Four of
the UCW of Ontario Street
United Church which was held
on Monday evening, October
26th in the Church parlour.
Mrs. Ross Trewartha, unit
leader, opened the .rneeting
with a poem which was fol-
lowed by hymn singing. The
devotional period was led by
Mrs. Wnlliam Jenkins, assisted
by Mrs. Beatrice Taylor, Miss
Rachel Johnston and -Mrs. Har-
old Tyndall.
In place of the regular mis-
sionary study period, Harvey
Johnston showed slides on
Trinidad which were taken
when he and Mrs. Johnston
visited there in 1962.
Mrs. R. Trewartha conduct-
ed the business part of -the
meeting. The- roll call was an-
swered by handing in articles
for the Christmas bazaar which
is to be held on Saturday, -De-
cember 5th.

Legion Banquet
Well Attended
T h e annual Remembrance
Day 'banquet of Branch 140 of
the Royal Canadian Legion held
on Saturday was attended by
about 60 couples.
Rev. Walter Godden, rector
of the Anglican Church at
Mitchell, and padre of the
Mitchell Branch of the Legion,
was guest speaker.
Mr. Godden spoke on a theme
of Remembrance. He was in-
troduced by Rey, F,, LT, Mac-
Lean, padre of the Clinton
branch of the Legion.
