Mr. Johnston 'has eight
years' experience in dance,
figure and free skating and
'holds the Canadian SilVer
Figure Medal and the U.S.
Gold Dance Medal.
In 1955 he was ten-step
champion, International Sil-
ver Dance Champion at Buf-
falo, N.Y. and Canadian Gold
Dance Champion from 1955
to 1957.
Classes Popular
Between 1955 and 1957 he
was a member of the Can-
adian World Team.
Mns. Rudd said the classes
in figure skating which were
started by the Clinton club
in 1962 have proven very
popular.
The 'first year 'there were
29 students. Last year about
70 enrolled, and even more
are expected- to participate
this year.
A special course is being
made available this year at
Clinton's Central Huron Sec-
ondary School night classes by
the Ontario Department of Ed-
ucation..
The -course—prepared by the
Department of Trade and dim-
merce at Ottawa—is for own-
ers and managers of small busi-
nesses. .
According to school officials,
the course has proven popular
in other communities and a
number of interested persons
from the Huron County area is
expected to enroll.

The course called Manage-
ment Accounting—or alternat-
ively, Planning for. Profit, in-
cludes the following topics: •

small business owner need to
operate his business profitably;
methods of getting this infor-
mation frbm an income state-
ment and 'balance sheet;

Can pinpoint unprofitable areas
of his business; methods for dis-

A barn and its contents val-
ued at more than $10,000 was
destroyed. Saturday on the RR
5 Goderich farm of Mrs. Anna
Linklater.
The fire of undetermined or-
igin broke out at 3 p.m. and
was fought by the Goderich
Fire Department.
Dettroyed with the barn
were 8,000 bales of hay owned
jointly by William Clutt and
Tunis Copeland, neighbors of

Goderich Racing
Stable Razed
By Fire, Friday
GODBRICH---Fire here Fri-
day afternoon destroyed the
town's; racing stable and four
standard bred horses owned by
breeder-horseman George Fea-
gan.
The blaze—of unknown orig-
in—broke out about noon and
within an hour destroyed the
20-stall Goderich Racing and
Trotting Association barn val-
ued at $8,000.
Mr. Feagan estimated the
loss of his four horses and rac-
ing equipment he had bought
this summer at about $10,000.
Six other race horses in an
adjacent barn were. not harm-
ed.
The Goderich. Fire Depart-
ment was Unable to check the
blaze which was fanned by
strong winds, but prevented ache
flames from spreading to the
nearby Goderich Metnorial
Arena and adjacent barns.

Late To Borden
The RCAF Clinton Flag
Football "Thunderbolts" ended
- their two game, total point ger;
les with Camp Borden last Sun-
day in defeat.
They won the second game
by a score of 18-12, but had
lost the first one 19-7, making
the total score 31-25 for. Camp
Borden.
The flag football series be-
tween Camp Borden and RCAF
Clinton is an annual event.
Central Footballers Win
Soccer Game Ends in Tie
The CHSS Redmen scored a first quarter
touchdown to defeat the defending • champion Wing-
ham Mustangs 6-5 while Bill Steenstra scored the
lone CHSS goal in a 1-1 soccer tie-game with
Stratford Central in games played last Thursday.
