The bride is the daughter of
Mr, and Mrs. C. Kuiper Sr. of
Clinton and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Bos of
Wassenaar, Holland.
The double-ring ceremony
was performed by the Rev, G,
J. Heersink of Clinton. J.
Roorda played the wedding
music and the solo was sung
by Mrs. J. Zondervan.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a gown of
white Satin with nylon lace.
Miss Helen Bliffinga of ton-
desboro was maid of honour.
She Were a pale green dreSs
and carried a basket of white
'mums,
The flower girls were Alice
Kuiper of Clinton, niece of the
bride, and Mary Anti HeykOop
of Clinton. They wore dresses
of yellow taffeta trimmed With
white and carried baskets of
white 'moms.
1-lenk Bos of Stratford was
the groomsman. Kees Xulper
of Clinton and ,Too nos of Wal-
ton were ushers.
A reception was held in the
Church hall, which was decor-
nted with yellow 'mums,
Pot, -eceiving guests the
bride's Mother Wore- a beige
dress and' a -Corsage of pink
roses. The groom's mother was
not present for the Wedding.
Per a wedding trip to North-
ern Ontario the bride 'donned a
White knitted suit. She wore
a toisage, oit red Meg,

Company said goodbye to their
Captain, Mrs, Joan Boggs, who
has been transferred to RCAF
Station Trenton. An ardent
Guider, Mrs, Boggs will be mis-
sed by the girls. In apprecia-
tion of her services the Guides
presented her with gifts, one of
them being a plastic bag full
of their tears . .

Lodge Opening
At Goderich
GODERICH---Invitations have
been sent to all primary Or-
ange Lodges in North and
South Huron to attend the for-
mal opening and dedication of
a new hall by Victoria LOL
182, Goderich.
The lodge, chartered in 1845,
has occupied several premises,
latterly' a building it owned on
Hamilton Street, but has ac-
quired more suitable quarters
by purchasing the former Sal-
vation Army building an Light-
house Street,
Recording secretary J. James
Morris has confirmed the ac-
ceptance of an invitation to
M.W. Bro. Leslie H. Saunders,
of Taranto, to be principal
speaker at the opening cere-
monies, to be held on the even-
ing of Saturday, October 31.
Mr. Saunders, a former may-
or of Toronto and currently
president of the Canadian Pro-
testant League, was elected
last July 'in England as presi-
dent of the Imperial Grand
Council of the Orange Associa-
tion.
Tentative arrangements for
the program provide for a wel-
come by Glenn Paterson, mas-
ter of 182, who will turn the
chair over to Past County Mas-
ter Oliver Jaques of Hensall,
as master of ceremonies.
Formal 'presentation of the
key will be made by Capt. Ray
Wambold, of the Salvation
Army, and county masters and
other dignitaries will be heard
from. A large and representa-
tive attendance is expected.

Huron, has 318 members; Smith
Huron's secretary, Mrs, W. W.-
• reported 373 members, and
Mrs, Wes - Bradnoek reported
469 members for West Huron.

A sing-song was led by Mrs.
L. Nichol of the Hensall WI.
IVfrs, Wilfred Mack reported
for the Huron County Histori-
cal Society which had been or-
ganized as the outcome of the
motion at last year's meeting
to ask County Council to form
such a society.
She 'invited all interested in
the history of the county to
attend the meeting at Carlow
on Oct. 16. The minutes were
approved as read by the secre-
tary, Mrs. Otto Popp of Dun-
gannon, who also gave the fin-
ancial statement.
Miss Patricia Da,mude gave
a report on the work in the
Junior and Senior departments.
She said 519 girls had taken
part in the last project and
that 25, girls had received pro-
vincial honours during the year,
Present Scholarship
The highlight of the meeting
was the presentation of the
Huron Cdunty Scholarship to
Miss Mary Andrew of RR 7
Lucknow, a member of the
Dungannon club. Miss Andrew
is at present attending the
University of Western Ontario.
Mrs. N. McLeod of Exeter
sang three solos and 'the Dash,
wood WI presented a humorous
skit. Mrs. John E. MacLean,
of Seaforth, provincial board
director and a member of the
F,W.I.C. board gave an account
of the convention held in June
at Wolfeville, N.S.
A discussion took place about
the booth at the 1966 plough-
ing match and it was decided
to apply to have one at that
time.

served by the Hensall WI,
The afternoon session 'Was
opened with a message by Mrs.
Harold Currie of .Hensall, She.
extended a cordial welcome to
the church on behalf of her
husband, Rev. Harold Currie,
pastor of the church.
Mrs, Kenneth Johns gave a
report on the C,A.S. Bursary
fund and said two wards are
now using the bursary to fur,
ther 'their education, A discus-
sion 'took place .on A.R,D.A. and
Mrs, Gordon Papple of Sea,
forth was named the repre-
sentative.
The Henderson trio of Sea-
forth sang 'two numbers and
Mrs. I-larry Strang of Exeter
introduced' George Wiese of
Exeter who showed colorful
slides of his trip to his home
country of Holland. Mrs, Tam-
bee Lamb of Goderich extended
the courtesies of the rally.

Attends Meeting
Dr. F. M, Newland of Clinton
is attending the second three-
day scientific meeting 'of the
Ontario Chapter of the College
of General Practice at Vine-
land, as part of his formal
program of 'taking 100 hours
of postgraduate study every two
years.
More than 500 family doctors
from all sections of Ontario
and upper New York State also
are attending 'the meeting,
Lecturers have been drawn
from major medical colleges in
Canada and the .U.S.

13th birthday with a slumber
party on Sept, 25, Her sister,
Margo, marked her 11th birth-
day with five friends on Oct. 2.

Penny Lee Ranger was nine
years old and took five guests
to a short feature and later to
her home for a party on Oct. 3.
Glenda McNeill was nine on
Oct, 1.
Renee H'aspeck was eight on
Sunday, Oct. 4 and had five
young people for fun and games.
Glenn Smith was nine years
and had six guests in on Satur-
day, Oct. 3. Highlight of the
afternoon was a scavenger hunt
in which all the lads participat-
ed.

Clintonians Attend Listowel Hydro Convention
Six members of the Clinton Public Utilities
Commission attended the annual fall meeting of
District 6, Ontario Municipal Electric Association
held in Listowel last week. From the left are: A.
(Red) Garon, Charles BroWn, Hal Hartley, Mayor
W, J. Miller, Jabez Rands and Bill Perdue. Mr.
Hartley was elected a director of the Association
during the convention; and will serve the balance
of this year and most of 1965 on the district
executive.
