Londesboroan Visits Mrs. Ida Townsend (left) of Londesboro, re- cently visited Northern Ireland. With her on the trip were her daughter, Miss Dorothy Little of Toronto, and Mrs. M. Bentham of Oshawa. The ladies enjoyed a four-week trip to Britain, two Women's League On Wednesday, Sept. 23, the CWL held a general meeting at the Community Centre. Fifty- seven ladies attended and an address of welcome was given by the president, Mrs. L. Bren- nan. She then introduced the executive and conveners to the assembly. Mrs. A. Wilson read the sec- retary's report as well as the treasurer's. Plans were elabor- ated --as to the Communion breakfast to be held in October, and the toy drive early in November. Father Richard Hussey intro- duced the religion teachers: Mrs. Jean Young, Mrs. Kay Wickware, Mrs, Dorothy Etue, 'Mrs. Monica McCurdy and Mrs. Veronica Etue. The next project of the Guild is a bazaar and tea on Nov. 14, in the Community Centre. All ladies who wish to work for the bazaar are welcome .to meet at the Annex for this purpose on Tuesday evenings at 8.30 p.m. The next general meeting will be on October 13.
