Clintonian Club
The Clintonian Club met
last week at the home of Mrs.
Torn O'Connell. The president,
Mrs, Colclough opened the
meeting with the Housewife's
Creed and the Lord's Prayer.
The minutes of the last meet-
ing were read and the treasur-
er's report was given, Roll call
was answered by 15 members
and three visitors.
Final plans were made for a
bake sale in October, and Mrs.
Mulholland offered her home
for the October meeting. Lunch
was served at the close of the
meeting.

Until 1912 they lived at Leth-
bridge, Alberta, and in- that
year moved eat to take up
farming in Goderich Township.
Four Children
In November of 1959, they
retired from farming at the
14th Concession of Goderich
and moved to their Clinton
home.
The couple has three sons
and one daughter.
Son Clarence lives in Clinton
at 24 Shipley Street; Raymond
at 524 Horton St., London,
Oat.; Harry on Hamilton Road,
London.
Daughter Gladys, Mrs. C. J.
Livermore, lives at 186 Alma
Street, Clinton.

Holds Meeting
Members of Clinton Wo-
men's Institute held their reg-
ular meeting on Thursday,
Sept. 24.
The topic on education was
taken by guest speaker Fred
Sloman. Mr. Sloman toldmem-
bers the rules and regulations
of education should be more
flexible to allow teachers to
study the abilities of pupils.
- The 4-H leaders reported
having started on the, new pro-
gram, "The club girl stands on
guard". Resolutions to be con-
sidered at the area convention

Install Chapel Officers
Twenty-five men and women were authorized to serve in the Christian
Education Depattment of the Protestant Chapel in a ceremony, held Sunday at
RCAF Station Clinton. Sgt. Ross Marshall presented the candidates to the
congregation on behalf of the Chapel Committee, and the commissioning was
conducted by the chaplain, Rev. Q. Stanley Swarm. Those installed, are shown
