CWI Meeting
Held In Park
The July meeting of Clinton
Women's Institute was held in
Clinton Community Park. The
president, Mrs. W, Colclough.
opened the meeting with the
opening ode, ;the Mary Stewart
collect and the Lord's Prayer.
Mrs. C. Elliott, the secretary,
read the minutes of the last
meeting. Correspondence was
dealt with and an invitation
from the Goderich WI to at-
tend their October meeting was
accepted.
After this, the meeting was
turned over to the sports com-
mittee, Mrs. Ron MacDonald
and Mrs. A. Crick who had
prepared contests and bingo.
The picnic supper planned by
the social committee, Mrs, M.
Ross and Mrs. N. Tyndall, was
enjoyed by all.

Named Recipient
Of $200 Bursary
Cathryn Wallis
Cathryn: Wallis, daughter of
Mrs. Fred Wallis and the late
Fred Wallis, -of RR 1 Bayfield,
has been announced winner of
a $200 bursary awarded by the
Women's Auxiliary of Clinton
Public Hospital.
Miss Wallis, 20, will be en-
rolled in September at St.
Thomas Hospital School of
Nursing Where she will take a
three-year course, graduating in
1967 as -a Registered Nurse,
She graduated from Grade
Twelve at Central Huron Sec-
ondary School 'in 1963, and said
she wanted to enter the field of
nursing "so I can help -other
people."
The Auxiliary paid $100 of
the bursary at the time the
recipient was selected,- and will
pay $50 at the. commencement
of each of Miss Wallis' second
and third years at nursing
school,

Cochrane Reunion
Held At Bayfield
The Cochrane family annual
picnic was held July 18 at
Clan Gregor Square, Bayfield,
with 40 present. Sports were
under the direction of Ethel
McMientrie and Margaret Jones.
All the officers were re-
elected and it was agreed to
hold 'the 1965 picnic on the
second Sunday in July at Bay-
field.

styled With a scoop neckline.
The neckline and the elbow-
length sleeves were accented
With Italian lace appliques
With sequins. The bell skirt
featured an Italian lace band
of bows and sequins. A cath-
edral train fell from the should-
ers. A star tiara of, pearls and
sequihs held the bride's should-
er length veil of imported silk

brother of the groom, of Gode-
rich and Ronald Scotchmer of
Clinton were the ushers.

ed with pink rose buds in bud
vases.
