The Clinton juvenile baseball
team played to a 3,3 tie do a
game in New }lambing last
Sunday. The game was called
after nine innings because of
the excessive heat.
Cam MacDonald started for
Clinton and was relieved by
Clare .Magee in the fifth. Magee
also got three of the four Clin-
ton hits in the game,
Clinton. scored their three
runs.on four hits and commit-
ted three errors over the nine-
inning =am while New Ham-
burg got their three on 12 hits
and also had three errors.
The game slated for Tuesday
night was postponed because of
wet 'grounds. •

owner of the Hayfield-Clinton

With 92 Strokes On 18-Hole _ Course
Ten-year-old Mike McTaggart, of Toronto, shot
an enviable 92 to win the annual junior Golf Taw,
nainent and the Stu CO* Memorial Trophy at the Bayfield-Clinton Golf Course, Tuesday.

30 Years At Hayfield
On many occasions in Hay-
field, when other medical aid
was not 'immediately, available,
injured persons found themsel-
ves in her capable care.
Miss Stirling lived in Bay-
field for the past 30 years, and
was known as a charming and
gracious hostess to the end. She
was a member of St. Andrews
United Church, belonged to the
WA and WMS, taught Sunday
School for many years, was
Sunday School Superintendent,
and took an active interest in
the affairs and welfare of the.
village.
