Rev. Canon H. M, Lang-Ford
is the guest af Mrs. R. H. F.
Gairdner, Canon Lang - Ford
first visited l3ayfield in 1903.
His first cottage was at Deer
Lodge Park in 1904. He recalls
that in those clays there were
no street lamps and it was nec-
essary to carry one's own lan-
tern after dark. Tennis was a
very popular game at that time
and he treasurers memories of
tennis matches between Deer
Lodge Park area residents and
village players.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Ormond and
daughter Evelyn came by car
from Casper, Wyoming to spend
a week with Mr. and Mrs. H.
H. Ormond.
Mr. and Mrs. Da Haw, Bay-
field attended the wedding of
the latter's sister, Dawna to
Mr. Douglas Deller of Shel-
burne on Saturday.
Another dust free street has
been added to the village. Last
week 1050 feet of blacktop was
laid on Bayfield Terrace,
' Spending part of their honey-
moon in the village are Mr.
and Mrs. Jeffery Heisler, Ot-
tawa. Mr. Heisler once attend-
ed school in Bayfield and at
that time lived with his par-
ents at "Blink - Bonnie" on
Chiniquy Street.
The Rev, E. J. B. Harrison
returned on Thursday morning
of last week from St. Albans,
Vermont, after attending the
funeral of his cousin: Monroe
A. Moffatt which was held
there on the Monday afternoon
and at which he was privileged
to assist. He had left by train
from Stratford on the Sunday
evening prior to the funeral.

er of Mr, and Mrs. Robert
Bayfield, who graduat-
ed recently from St. Thomas-
Elgin General Hospital School
of Nursing. Her parents and
the following persons attend-
ed the graduation at Alma
College and at a dinner party

Bradley Turner celebrated
his tenth birthday on Saturday
with ten boy friends. After a
barbecue held on the lawn, Mrs.
Turner and Barbara drove them
to Sky Harbour Airport to view
the Lancaster bomber where
they enjoyed a short conducted
tour. The climax of the day
was a visit to Sunset drive-in,
