AUBURN—Ball games have
again started at the Auburn

Mrs. George Reid who has
been a patient in Clinton Pub-
lic Hospital, has returned home.
The local softball team won
their first game at Winthrop
last Thursday evening. A re-
turn game will be played here
on Saturday evening of this

Good prices were realized at
the auction sale at the home
of Mrs. Nelson McLarty last
Saturday. Visitors were pres--
ent from London, Oakville, Kin-
burn, Clinton, Goderich and sur-
rounding district. The home was
not sold'at the time of the sale.
Mr. Brain Doerr and his sis-
ter Miss Sheila Doerr, Niagara
:Falls, were recent visitors with
their.. grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Chamney.

Mr. Bezeau passed away at
the Hospital pn Wednes-
day night, May 20, in his 94th.

Mr, .Bezeau, was born in Clin,
On on Jammry 15, 1$71, a son
of the late Mr. and Mrs. „Char-
Les $ezeau, He rcceivea his
earlier education in Clinton,
then went Chicago,
where he ,attended a tnsineSS
college,
He was a furniture finisher,
and in later years wrote books,
and wrote articles for a num-
ber of magazines, on this sub-
ject.
He entered city politics in
Kitchener in 1925, and was
mayor in 1931 and 1932. Even
though he was never 'in council
after that, Mr. Bezeau contin-
ued to be interested in politics
—civic, provincial and federal,
He was 'a personal friend of
'the late McKenzie King, and
had copies' of all of his works,
that had been, autiograPhed and
presented to him by Mr, Kim,
Mr, Pezoan had 'lived at 10
Ellen: St. E., in Kitchenm. for
over 50 years, and 'had been in
very good health, Alp to the iast

the late. Edith Manning, whp
passed away in 1949, and was
a-, member of Trinity United
Church, and of the Ancient

tner, Lawrence C, and 0, Mer-
vin, all of Kitchener, and Louis.

The funeral was held on Sat-
urday afternoon from the
Grubn funeral home, with Rev.
0. P. Hossie, assisted' by Rev.
J. W. Pratt conducting the ser-
vice. Pallbearers were six
grandsons, Robert Bezeau and
Stanley, Kresky, Kitchener;
Donald Bezeau, Weston, Ted
and Jim McCullough, Holmes-
ville and Lt. Vincent Bezeau,
Petawawa.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank McCul-
lough were called to Kitchener
owing to the death of Mrs. Mc-
