Wednesday to capture the Pickett & Campbell Tip Top trophy as champions of the Clinton Kinsmen Pee Wee House League. It was the ninth year of competition for the coveted trophy, and action was at its best as 'the four final games ended with two ties and two verdicts of only one goat. In the first round of the playoffs, the Bruins and Leafs, who had finished in the two top spots in the loop, won ed both tallies• for the Canad- iens. The outcome of these two games put the Hawks against the Canadiens, in the consola- tion game on Wednesday night and they battled. to a 3-3 draw. But again the Canadiens were losers as they had fewer shots on not than the Hawks. Dave Fawcett, Ken Farquhar and Gary Lockwood scored goals for the Hawks, while Tom Dennis, Tom McMahon and Gary Cummings replied for the losing squad, Come From Behind In the championship game played on Wednesday as well, the Leafs had to came from behind to post a,...thrilling 3-2 win over the Bruins in a game that was in doubt right to the final whistle. The Bruins took a 2-1 lead in the first period when Dave Slade and Wayne Hoy scored one each and Brian Merrill finished off a play with Doug Osborne, for the Leafs. The Leafs came on strong in the final stanza and Mike Anstett evened. the score on • a nifty solo effort. Doug Osborne, Leaf captain, then scored the clincher for his squad to walk off with the handsome trophy.
