And again she came through

IRWO Guests, ,
Sharing the spotlight with
Miss Neilans, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Neilans,
were two Seaforth skaters,
Mary Sills and Bruce Brady,
After each of the skaters had
performed beautifully in solo
efforts, they teamed up in a
duet and showed the crowd
why they were chosen as West-
ern Ontario novice pairs champ,
ions in 1.962,63,
Young Mr. Brady twirled his
lithe partner over his head in
spectacular fashion and they
also showed the grace and poise
that makes figure skating one
of the most entertaining of all
sports.
And, while their .abilities .fell
short of the soloist, the other
young members of the local
club proved they would soon be
in the same category if they
continue to improve as they
have in the past two years sin-
ce the club was formed.
The audience witnessed sev-
eral "strong" skaters and even
those little folk who had troub-
le keeping their ankles and
seats off the ice came through
with creditable pekormances
and also provided some laugh
provoking incidents,
•One young lad stole the show
s he skated around without an
apparent care in the world des-
pite the fact he took a few
tumbles and fell far behind the
pace of other, skaters in his
routine.
However, he kept a smile on
his eyes glued on the audience
his eyes glewed on the audience
and they obviously enjoyed the
young showman as he drew
some of the most rousing ap-
plause of the entire show.
Many Costumes
From start to finish, there
sere few dull moments as a
new batch of skaters in differ-,
eat costumes appeared to take
their place practically before
the applause had died out from
the previous performers.
