Mr. Warner went on to say that one of the things causing the most concern -at present is 'the` amount of dead hogs com- ing 'in off the trucks (10-15 weekly) which means an ap- proximate loss of $40,000 per year. The processors used to bear the loss, but now are starting to kick, -end the Hog Producers are trying 'to work out a plan with the producers, truckers and Processors that all will share the loss. 'It costs the board a lot of money to keep things operating, he noted. • There -.are always shoots to replace, snow removal at assembly yards and the hold- ing of hogs over, if a heavy run, but they are still hoping to hold the service charge at 35 cents. They now , have 11 applica- tions in for, either new assembly yards or enlargements or chan- ges to be made on old assembly yards.
