and Wore a pink carnation cor-
sage.
For travelling to Northern
Ontario, the bride donned a
blue double knit dress, topped
with a brown tweed coat tr-
immed with a fox collar -and
beige accesseries.
The young couple will reside
in Heirnesville.

trousseau tea 'in honour of her
daughter, Barbara, whose wed-
ding to Douglas Norman took
place December 28. Mrs. Wil-
liam Norman and Barbara 'as-
sisted Mrs, Yeo' in greeting the
guests,
The .house was tastefully
decorated with the' Christmas
motif. The lace-covered table
Was centred with a poinsettia
and flanked with silver candel-
abra,
Pouring tea were Mrs. Frank
Ye'o, aunt of the bride and Mrs.
Kenneth- Trevyartha, Mrs, De-
war Norman, Mrs. Frank Nor-
man and Mrs. Herb Hinz, aunts
of the zroom.
In -charge of the Vest book
were Sandra Norman and Jan-
ice Trewartha; showing the
trousseau were Mrs. Bert -Oil--
ford, Miss Marilyn Yeo, Miss
Shirley Norman and Mrs. Bar-
ry Pipe,
Waitresses were Miss Dawn
Grigg, Mrs. Arnold Riley, and
Mrs, David Beattie. Others
assisting were Mrs. Edward
Grigg, Mrs. Frank McCullough,
Mrs, Ken Harris, Mrs. Carl
Cox and Mrs. Glen Lockhart.

Her shoulder-length veil of
hand-embroidered French il-
lusion was held -by a 'tiara of
seed pearls and sequins, and
she carried a white Bible,
crested with red carnations.
The maid of honour, 'Miss
Janet Smith, and other 'brides-
maids, Misses Joanne Cudmore
and Brenda Kingswell, were
gowned alike in scarlet velvet,

The marriage of Lorraine
Carol Spano and David Glen
Carrie was solemnized on Sat-
urday, January. 4 at the RCAF
Protestant Chapel, Clinton,
with the Rev. O. S. Swaren,
padre of the chapel, conduct-
ing.
The bride is 'the eldest daugh-
ter of Squadron Leader and
Mrs. J. A. Spano, Ottawa and.
RCAF Clinton, while the
groom's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Maynard F. Corrie,
ton.
Baskets of white 'mums and
candles were in beautiful con-
trast 'to the red tapestries of
the church for the service. Or-
ganist was Miss Carol Pepper.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride Chose an Itali-
an knit champagne wool suit.
Her hat was a circlet of red
satin with velvet flowers and
red shoes ,and a corsage of red
roses completed the ensemble.

red faille suit with matching
petal hat and corsage of
White carnations.
Keith Allen, Londesboro, was
groomsman and the guests
were ushered by Wayne Grigg,
Clinton.
A reception followed in the
home of the bride's parents, 18
Victoria Blvd., Adastral Park.
Mrs. Spano, wearing a tur-
quoise flowered silk dress and
matching hat, received the
guests. She Was assisted by the
groom's mother, who chose a
peacock blue silk dress with a
hat of the same shade.
Out of town guests were pre-
sent from Downsview, London,
Listowel, Toronto and Cent-
ralia.
After the reception, the
young couple left on a short
wedding 'trip. Upon their re-
turn they will reside, in Clin-
ton.

The bride chose a full-length
gown of imported Italian pure
silk brocade. The dress was
slim sheath with a sabrina
neckline and long lily point
sleeves. A regal cathedral train
of silk-faced peau de soie band-
ed with Italian brocade swept
into s'o'ftly ample folds.
The eustomemade head piece
was an open-crowned
of peau de sole and held in
place a finger-tip veil of Fr-
ench She carried
white Bible crested with sweet-
heait roses and streamers.
Mrs. Bert Clifford, Toronto,
was her sister's matron of hon.-
- Bridesmaids were Miss
Marilyn Yeo, sister of the br-
ide and -Miss Shirley Norman,
sister of the grooni.
They were gowned alike in
street-length ensembles of red,
elegant peau de sole, featuring
bolero jackets and bell-shaped
skirts and matching shoes.
Their 'head-pieces were White
fur pill-boxes and they carried
white fur mats adorned with
a red carnation corsage.
Flower girl, Teresa Pipe,
London,' was dressed hi a red
peau de soie frock 'featuring a
matching cummerbund and ac-
cessories similar 'to that of 'the
other attendants.
Bert Clifford, Toronto, acted
as .groomsman and ushers were

A quiet wedding 'took place
at Trinity United Church, Kit-
chener, Saturday, December 28
at 2 o'clock when Iona Melissa,
daughter of 'the late Mr. and
Mrs. Jonathan Hugill, Seaforth,
and Reginald William Carr, son
of the late Mr. and Mrs. John
Carr, St. Marys, exchanged
vows.
The Rev. O. P. Hassle offici-
ated.
The attendents were Mr. and
Mrs, Gordon Horner, Kitchener.
The couple will reside :at
Seaforth.

Wesley-Willis United Church,
December 21, at 12 o'clock
noon, for the double-ring cere-
mony of Lynne Marie Shipley,
Clinton, and Harold E. Eriand-
sen, Vancouver.
The bride is the youngest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Oliver, Clinton, and
the groom 'is the eldest son of
Mr. and Mrs. E. Er1'andsen,
Vancouver, B:C.

The soloist, Mrs. Donald And-
rews, Clinton, sang the Wed-
ding Prayer, the Lord's Pray-
er, and I'll Walk Beside You,
accompanied on 'the organ by
Charles Merrill, Alt 1 Clinton.

bride. She wore a medium blue
street-length dress. - with sheath
skirt and overskirt and carried
a 'bouquet of white baby 'mums.
Harold Pym, Londen, was
groomsman and ushers were
Frank McCowan, brother of the
bride and Craig Cox, both of
Clinton.
For travelling, the bride
changed to -a grey double-knit
dress with royal blue and black
accessories and a corsage of
pink carnations.
The couple will reside in
London.

groomsman, -and the ushers
were Elwin Kingswell and Jim
Livermore, both of Clinton. The
guests were- welcomed by Mr.
and Mrs: Don Kerr, RCAF Sta-
tion Clinton.
At the wedding reception,
which was held in the recrea-
tion room of Wesley-Willis
Church, the 'bride's mother re-
ceived -in a street-length jacket
dress of mandrin blue brocade
with black accessories, and
wearing a corsage of white
carnations. The dinner was
prepared by Unit 3 of the UCW
under the convenership of Mrs.
Jean Sinclair, and served by
six friends of the bride.
For a short honeymoon trip
to Niagara Falls, the bride
donned a street-length shrimp
brocade jacket dress with fur
trim and black accessories,
The bride is a graduate of
DHSS and was employed as re-
ceptionist for Jack Hood's
School Supplies, Stratford. The
groom is employed with Do-
minion Rubber, Kitchener.

Gertie Postma, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
George Posima, RR 4 Clinton, and Ron Lockwood, ,
son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lockwood, Clinton, were
united in marriage by Rev. Clifford Park in a New
Year's Eve ceremony. The couple will reside in
Clinton, where the groom operates a barber shop
and the bride is employed at Atlantic Finance.
