Skeggs, Windsor, She chose a
street-length gown of powder-
blue pean, de soie with scizzor
skirt and matching jacket. Her
shoulder length veil was held
by a peau de soie bow and she
carried a cluster of white roses
and stephanotis,
Mrs, Lillian Brown, St. Jac-
obs, was her sister's matron of
honour, wearing a blue Adante
silk street-length gown. Miss
Karen Adams, Oakville, great-
' niece of the bride was flower
girl, wearing a blue organdy
frock.
Leonard Onn, London, broth-
erAn-law of the groom, was
best man. Guests were ushe'red
by Paul Skingley, Royal Oak,
Michigan, nephew of the groom
and Fred Skeggs, Windsor,
nephew of the bride.

Prior to the wedding of Miss

Saturday, several friends and

ide have entertained.
Mrs. L. Asquith entertained
at her home at RR 2, Clinton
where friends and former
neighbours of the bride gather-
ed for a miscellaneous shower.
Teachers and former teach-
ers of Central Huron Second-
ary School gathered at the
home of Mrs. Jean Webb hon-
ouring the bride at a dinner
party.

setting on Saturday, September
2S when Ruth Ann McNichol
became the bride of Donald
George Smale, Hensall,
Rev. Howard Plant of Kip-
pen-Brucefield charges officiat-
ed at the Ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ross McNichol,
RR 3, Kippen, and the groom
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
liam Smale, Hensall.
The bride chose a floor-
length gown of French rose
point lace over bridal taffeta,
lily point sleeves and bodice
fashioned with a sabrina neck-
line trimmed with sequins, a
bouffant skirt with bustle back
and unpressed pleats at waist-
line.
She carried a white Bible and
a bouquet of gardenias and
pink roses with ivy streamers,

was her sister's maid of honor,
wearing a sea aqua silk chif-

The bridesmaids were a sis-
ter, Janice Faye McNichol, and
Susan Lostell. Their dresses
were spun gold and pink ny-
lon lace over taffeta.
Miss Joan Ivison played the
wedding music, and accompan-
ied the soloist Mr. Robert Nor-
ris (uncle of the bride) from
Staffa.
Eric Smale, Zurich, was his
brother's best man and guests
were ushered by Jack Burleigh,
Seaforth, an uncle of the bride,
and Mervyn Stephen, London,
a cousin of the groom,
A reception was held in the
church parlors and, for a trip
to Niagara Falls the bride
changed to a blue suit, with
corsage of white carnations and

solo and a reading given by
Mrs. Howard Finkbeiner. Susie
Mae Lostell read the address.

when Harriet Mary Elliott be-
came the bride of Joseph Garry
Freeman.
The bride is, the daughter
of Mr, and Mrs, Roy Elliott
and the groom's parents are
Mr, and Mrs. Lours Freeman,
all of Clinton,
The double. ring ceremony
was performed by Rev. Grant
Mills and the soloist Mrs. Do9g-
las Andrews was accompanied
by. Miss Lois Orasby.
Given -in marriage by her
father, the bride was lovely in
an original floor-length gown
of white corded peau de faille.
'The fitted bodice featured a
scoop neckline appliqued with
imported Swiss lace re-embroid-
ered with seed pearls and had
lily point sleeves.
The full skirt was caught up
at the side with appliqees of
lace and seed pearls and a large
peau de faille rose topped. the
inverted pleats which released
the fullness at the back. Her
veil of silk illusion was held by
a Petal crown of peau. de faille
and seed pearls and she car-
ried a white Bible crested with
pink sensation rose buds, ivy
and satin ribbon.
Mrs. Howard Edwards, sister
of the bride, was matron of
honour and wore a street-
length gown of blue peau de
soie fashioned with a controlled
bell skirt and over skirt trim-
med with rosettes of same.
Material - matching petalled
headdress and circular veils and
matching shoes completed the
outfit. She carried large white
'mums nested in pink tulle ,and
satin ribbons.. '
The bridesmaids were Miss
Emily Collins, L'ondon and Miss
Carol Williams, Kitchener, and
the junior bridesmaid was Miss
Brenda Stirling, Bayfield, all
friends of the bride, They wore
RR 1, Bayfield and Bill Jonge-
jan, RR 2, Goclerich,
Following a wedding trip, the
couple will make their home
in Regina, Saskatchewan.
