Mark's Anglican Church met
for it's September meeting at
the home of Mrs. Orval Mc-
Phee with a good attendance,
The hostess presided for the
meeting.
Mrs. McPhee read the scrip-
ture and Rev. Robert lYfeally
led in the prayers.
The topic for the day was

Miss McDonald challenged
everyone to do more for the
spread of the gospel in these
countries where communism is
taking over instead of Chris-
tianity.
A solo was sung by Mrs. Mc-
Kee, Goderich, accompanied by
Mrs. Mills, Miss Belle Camp-
bell. Seaforth, thanked Mrs.
McDonald for her inspiring
message.
An impressive in memoriam
service was held by Mrs. Ed,
Farquhar, Clinton, and a mom-
ent's silence was observed in
memory of the late Mrs. Basil
Edwards, Hensall, who had
been supply secretary for a
number of years. -
Greetings from Huron Mait-
land Presbytery • were brought
by the new moderator, Rev. G.
L. Royal, Goderich.

recently appointed the WA Pre,.
sident for the Diocese, of Hur-
on, The study book was taken
by Mrs, Lloyd Humphreys. and.
her subject was news about
missionaries at home and
abroad.
She read a letter from a per-
song]. friend, Miss Penelope.
Anne Fisher, who is a mission-
ary in Japan, telling of her
work in that country.
Mrs. McPhee thanked all who
had assisted in the meeting and
closed with a hymn.
The president, Mrs. George
Schneider, took charge of tile
business part of the meeting
and the minutes were adopted
as read by the secretary, Mrs,
John Daer and Mrs. Gordon
Taylor gave the financial state-
ment.
Mrs, Thomas. Haggitt .read a
letter on Unitarian relief and a
get well card was signed by all
present for Mrs. Sam Daer who
is a patient in Clinton Public
Hospital.
The travelling apron was
passed and each member put
in two cents for each letter in
the word, "Missions". The roll
call was answered by telling of-
an autumn beauty , spot and
many places along the Maitland
River were named where the
maple trees show their beauty
this time of the year,
The offering was received and
the members decided to send
it to Miss Penelope Anne Fish-
er to assist her in her work in
Japan. The members also vet,
ed. to bold a bazaar, bake sale
and tea on October 19 "in the

sided for the first Young Peo-
ple's meeting of the fall season
in the Sunday school room, of
Knox Presbyterian Church.

and AYPA of St, Mark's Au-
burn; Blyth Trinity; Knox
Presbyterian and Knox United
Churches, -
Margaret • Haines read the
minutes of the previous meet-
ing which were adopted as
read, The president gave an
interesting paper on teenagers
and their role in to-day's world,
A question period followed
and Rev. Robert Meally assist-
ed the teenagers with their an-
swers. Mr. Meally conducted
the worship service and follow-
ed with 1)rayer.
In the business period it was
decided to have a Hare and
Hound Chase on September 28
at the home of George and
Philip Clark.
