AUBURN - Funeral service
was held at the J.' Keith Ar-
thur funeral home, Auburn, for
Sanford Lawlor who passed
away in Clinton Public Hos-
pital after a long illness. Born
at Auburn he was the son of
the late Thomas Lawlor and
Mary Neaves, and was in his
85th year.
He resided in this district all
his life and was a farmer in
West Wawanosh. His wife, the
former Nellie Wetherell, passed
away four years ago.
He was a member of Knox
United Church and is survived
by one son, Thomas, Colborne
Township; five daughters, Mrs.
Calvin (Thelma) McIntyre,
Wingham; Mrs. B. (Lottie)
Smith, Toronto; Mrs. Gordon
(Pearl) Anderson, Goderich;
Mrs. Gordon (Hazel) Smyth,
RR 2, Auburn; Mrs. William
(Florence) Reed, RR 3, Au-
burn; else). 4 grandchildren;
two ,brothers, George, Auburn;
Leander, Kenton, Man.; and
three sisters, Mrs. Alfred
(Mary) Rollinson; Mrs. Wil-
liam (Julia) Medd, Goderich•
and Mrs. Dorinda Ferguson,
iWndsor.
Rev. Charles Lewis conduct-
ed the funeral service and bur-
ial took place in Ball's ceme-
tery with the pallbearers being
Ed Davies, Gordon Dobie, Amos
Andrew, Kenneth Scott, Char-
les Scott and Lloyd McClarty.
Relatives and friends were
present from Toronto, . Wing-
ham, London, Sarnia and the
surrounding area.
Dr. and Mrs. John. Downie
were the godparents. The chid-
dren's grandmother, Mrs. Fred
Gadbois, Minedosa, Man,, and
their great grandmother, Mrs.
Charles F. Rogers attended the
service.
Mrs. R. G. Hunter entertain-
ed at a family dinner at her
home afterwards,
Charles F. Rogers is on leave
from the Canadian Consular
Service, Hamburg, Germany,
until October.

Florida, are visiting their son,
Warner Payne and family.
Mr and Mrs. Claire
Swart' Creep, Mich., were the
guests Of Mrs, Bruce Menerey
from Friday to Tuesday.
Mrs, George Lindsay was
able to leave Clinton Public
HosPital on Wednesday of last
week and is recuperating at
borne.
Mr. Grime and family have
recently moved from London
to Guelph, where he is •a mem-
ber of the teaching staff at
A. L, Ross Collegiate.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Stirl-
ing and daughter, Jo Anne,
Meaford, came on Monday to
visit his aunts Misses A, M.
and E. J. Stirling for a few
days,
Corp. Lloyd Westlake, OPP,
accompanied by Mr, and Mrs.
Stewart Mank and two chil-
dren, Robbie' and Pam, spent
Sunday at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Malcolm Toms.
Mr. and Mrs. Len Pounder
and Shannon Rose, who have
moved from Walkerton to Han-
over, spent the weekend with
her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Wil-
fred Heard.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Long
and two children, Ancaster, sp-
ent last week with her mother,
Mrs. Harry Baker at "Wheel-
In". Mr. Baker joined them
over the weekend.

Larson returned home on Fri-
day evening after a delightful
motor trip to visit relatives in
Manitoba, Saskatchewan and
North Dakota.

don, also spent the weekend

Thursday to Saturday at the
home of Charles Toms and vis-
ited him in Clinton Public
Hospital.
Mrs. David Dewar returned
home on Tuesday evening after
having attended the marriage
of her grandson, David George
Dewar to Miss Jane Watson,
Oshawa, on Saturday, and
spending the weekend with her
sgn, David, Toronto.
Mrs. J. E. Howard and Miss
Anne Drouin spent a few days
last week with the former's
brother-in-law and sister, Rev.
and Mrs. H. G, E. Crosby,
Morre town,
F./L and Mrs. R. A. Simons,
Randy and Danielle , Downs-
view, were at "Shangri-La",
their home in the village over
the weekend.

in-training, Victoria Hospital,
London, is spending her vaca-
tion with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. George Fellows, "Kings
Heath", Glitter Bay.
Mrs. Robert Clark who has
been vacationing at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Scotch-
mer returned to her home in
Cleveland on Sunday morning
with her son-in-law and daugh-
ter, Mr. and Mrs. R. Peterka.
Jimmy McMillan returned to
his home in Woodstock, Thurs-
day evening after having spent
the greater part of the summer
with his aunt, Mrs. Reg Fran-
cis, under the care of his cou-
sin, Marian Francis.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Candela
and children returned to De-
troit today (Thursday) after
having visited her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. A, Brisson for a fort-
night.
Mrs. T. E. Duffin and son,
Tommy, have been summering
at the cottage of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dunn.
Miss Grace Vessey has returned
to London after spending -two
weeks with her niece, and Mrs.

ate them without success. This
spring, her nieces contacted
her.

Beth Hunter returned from Tor-
onto on Wednesday of last
week. Dr. and Mrs, John
Downie, Christine and Jocelyn,
Kingston, came to visit them,
and Dr Hunter ' arranged on
Friday to stay over Labour

Mrs. Don Ferguson is a pat-
ient in Clinton hospital since
the first part of last week. Miss
Dorothy Klashan, London, is
caring for her one-month old
baby, Paul. Debbie and Derek
accompanied their grandmoth-
er, Mrs. Ken Ferguson, Sr.,
Bill and Della Lou to London
on Sunday to visit baby Paul.
Mrs, William L. Metcalf,
Montreal, spent last week with
her mother, Mrs. David Dewar
and accompanied her mother
and brother, David, to Toronto
on Friday. She attended the
Dewar-Watson wedding in Osh-
awa on Saturday and visited
her brother James Dewar and
family, Kingston, en route to
Montreal.
Mrs. Alex Reoch and two
sons, Bob arid Allan, returned
to Toronto on Monday . after
having visited Mr. "and Mrs.
Lindsay Smith and her sister,
Mrs. Dalton Smith and family
foal a few days. Ivan Steckle,
Jr., accompanied them on their
return trip to Toronto for a
few days visit and to attend
the CNE.

Attend Baptism
At Local Church
HAYFIELD - The service of
Holy Baptism was held in Trin-
ity Church on Sunday morning
last by the Rev. E. J. B. Harris-
on for the two sons of Charles
F. Rogers and his wife, An-
nike -Groot, of Hamburg, Ger-
many.
Andrew James was two years
of age that day and John David,
five months old, wore the chris-
tening robe which had served
four generations of the Rogers
family.

Admission
Students who have not previously been admitted to the
University of Western Ontario should apply for admission before Septem-
ber 15th using the appropriate application forms. The application forms
may be obtained by mail from: Mr. G. L. Amyot, Admissions Officer,
University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario. When completed, the
application for admission and all of the supporting documents requested
thereon should be mailed to: Mr% G. L. Amyot, Admissions Officer, Uni-
versity of Western Ontario, London, Ontario. The decision with respect
to admission will be sent to students by mail. Upon receiving official
notice of acceptance students may register in courses for which they
are eligible.
Registration
Students admitted to the University, may register for exten-
sion courses in person or by mail on or before 15 September 1963. Reg-
istration forms may be obtained by application to the Registrar, or
Department of Extension & Summer School: The completed form to-
gether with a cheque covering total tuition fees should be returned to
the Registrar.
A course may be withdrawn if fewer than 12 Students reg-
ister. It is imp,eratiVe, therefore, that students register by mail as soon
as posSible since the deeisioti to offer a course will depend upon the
number of registrations received by the 15th of September.
