the street with siren whooping,
slithering sideways between the
curbs, as it was operated by
drivers at both ends.
At Grand Bend, the parade
was nearly doubled in size as
it was joined by an estimated
1,500 Shriners from both sides
of the border for the clay's fun
and business sessions.
Even Grand Bend's bathing
beauties had to take a back
seat to the razzle dazzle of
the Shriners who splashed the
resort's main street with col-
our and their usual antics.
In. a special ceremony, the
Potentate was preSented 'with
a "key" to the resort by reeve,
Stewart Webb, and the Shrin-
ers quickly took advantage of
their "freedom".

The gay paraders gave a few
of the spectators some anxious
moments when they aimed
their haze and fire buckets at
them. However, the spectators
were "drenched" only in con-
fetti that poured out.
Preceded by more bands and
a sparkling white convertible
carrying Potentate Parker, the
local Bluewater Shrine Club
displayed their old fire truck
with bells ringing and siren
blaring away as it proceeded.
Adding to the colour were the
blue and scarlet tunics of the
"firemen".
The finale piece of fire fight-

ladder truck manned by mem-
bers of the Tillsonbueg Shrine

to blow down the "brick house" of the three little
pigs, which was one of the featured skits at the
concert presented by the two kindergarten classes
at Clinton Public School, Tuesday. The perform-
ances were witnessed by capacity crowds of parents
and younger brothers and sisters in both the after-
noon and morning, Two of the three little pigs
identified above are Karen Hicks and Nancy Ann

brick house formed by the youngsters on the out-
