The sixth annual picnic of
the Reid family was held Sun-
day afternoon, June 23 at Sea-
forth Lions Park with an at-
tendance of 42.
A program of races for the
children and guessing games
for the adults was conducted
by Mrs. George Cantelon.
Mrs. Cantelon and Mrs. Bob
Elliott kindly assisted in get-
ting the picnic supper organiz-
ed and serving tea and freshie
to all.
After supper Mrs. Wilbur
Keys conducted a short meet-

Ronald McKay, Clinton, a
member of the Clinton Public
School staff was elected presi-
dent of the Huron branch of
the Ontario Public School Men
Teachers' Federation at the an
nual meeting and banquet in
Seaforth last week.
He succeeds John McCarron,
of the J. A. McCurdy school,
RCAF Station Centralia.
Other officers are; Vice-pres-
ident, John Siertsema, Holmes-
vine; secretary, Robert Hanna,
Clinton. Committee chairmen
are: Superannuation, Bill Bl-
ack, Goderich; education, Ron-
ald Patterson, Ushorne Town-
ship; insurance, Howard Scot-
chmer, RCAF Station Clinton.
The group paid tribute to one
if its former presidents, Dun-
can McKay, of Auburn, who is
leaving Huron County for a
teaching post in a secondary
school at Sault Ste. Marie and
John Goman, of Exeter, public
school inspector for South Hu-
ron, who is moving to Guelph
as inspector.
