The members of the CWL of St. Paul's Roman
Catholic Church, RCAF Station Clinton, met rec-
ently to honour Miss Mulrooney, who has been on
. the teaching staff at AirVice Marshall Hugh Camp-
bell school. She is leaving at the end of the term
and will teach in Europe. The presentation of

Special confirmation an d
communion services were held
at Ontario Street United
Church on Sunday, June 9 at
11:00 a.m. Rev. Grant Mills,
minister of the church for the
past six years, officiated at the
service and 33 adults and young
people were received into mem-
bership of the United Church
by profession of faith.
The service came as the cli-
max to five months of prepara-
tion. Special courses were tak-
en by the young people and
personal interviews with the
minister concluded the study
periods.
On Sunday, June 2, a special
service of preparation was held
in the church at which parents
and communicants met with
the members of the session.
Those being received into full
membership on profession of
faith were:
Ronald Crich, Douglas Dale,
Elaine Dale, Jean Dale, Dianne
Elliott, Fred Jewson, Morris
Iloggart, Violet Irwin, Carol
Kerripston, Marie Lobb, Keith
McLean, William Merrill, Lyn-

ise Smith, Steven Tyndall, Ro-
bert Vodden, Donald Watson,
Gaye Watson (members of the
junior confirmation class).

people were welcomed into the
church by the session who pre-
sented them with Testaments
and certificates.

held in the church on July 3
and a presentation of a hassock
and cushion to Mrs. H. John-
ston was made by Mrs. Emer-
son Kyle, while Mrs, R. Mc-
Gregor read the address.
Twenty ladies were present
and hostesses were Mrs. E. Kyle
and Mrs. Norman Dickert.
Hold Barbecue
A chicken barbecue was held
Saturday evening on the lawn
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Elzar Mousseau, sponsored by
the South Huron Youth for
Christ, with about 200 being
present
Ron Smith of Stratford Ch-
urch was the guest speaker and
Mr. Alvin Cudmore of Exeter,
leader of the group represent-
ed.

Miss Marlene McLachlan,
popular bride of Saturday, June
15. was honored at several
showers previous to her mar-

Mrs. Rose Ailerner of Zurich
entertained at her home to a
miscellaneous shower and Mrs.
Eric Switzer,' aunt of the bride,
also gave a miscellaneous show-
er at her home in Clinton.
Mrs. Flossie Mair, (Marlene's
landlady), in London, gave her
. a surprise treasure hunt shower
and the staff of the Royal Bank
of Canada in London (where
the bride was employed over
five years), presented her with
several pieces of corningware.
The Royal Bank also made the
presentation of an individual
gift and a miscellaneous shower
by SS 14, Stanley, was held in
Marlene's honor.

Canon Powell memorial prize
for integrity and resolution at
St. Clement's School. Her ap-
plication to enter Trinity Col-
lege, Toronto, in the fall has
been accepted.
Christening at Trinity
A double christening took
place in Trinity Anglican Ch-
urch or. Sunday (Fathers Day)
at 12.30 p.m,, immediately fol-
lowing the morning service. The
first was that of Kevin James
Roth, two-month-old son of
Mr'. and Mrs. William Arthur
Roth, Stratford. The godpar-
ents were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Frederick Ellis, Kitchener.
The second was Marcia Pat-
rice, six-weeks-old daughter of
Mr. and Mrs, Carl William
Hansen, Point Edward. The
godparents were the maternal
grandparents, Mr, and Mrs.
Clarence Clark Roth, Stratford,
who acted as proxy for their
daughter and her husband, Mr.
and Mrs. David Seigner, Mit-
chell, who were unable to be
present or, account of illness.
William Arthur Roth and
Mrs. Carl William Hansen are
brother and sister. Two great,
great grandmothers of the two
children christened were pres-
ent at the service. The rector,
