Members of Teen Town en-
joyed their annual Spring
Dance on. Friday, May 17, The
orchestra in attendance, the
Bluetones, entertained the
young people all evening.
Decorations were in pink
and green and a large "Spring"
sign was done in simulated
blossoms.
The chaperones were Mr.
and Mrs. V. A. Johnston. Pr-
izes for spot dance were won
by Adele Haspeck and Brian
Dolan. A buffet was served.

with the benediction, the pro-
gram committee conducted an
enjoyable half hour of bingo.
The hostess then served lunch.
The next meeting will be on
June 5,
sale. The room was tastefully
arranged to look like a bit of
the sunny isles of the Pacific.
One corner had a marine die-
play of the surf, tropical fish,
shells and coral. On the wat-
er, huge lilies were "floating".
Table decorations included
coconuts, pineapple and other
fruit. Fishing nets hung on the
walls with some beach scenes
made very attractive by live
Hawaiian girls, Miss Judy Boys
and Miss Lynn Lesnick.
The honorary president of
the WA, Mrs. ' M. Mathieson
and'Mrs. M. Bush, the presi-
dent, received the guests and
gave each a Hawaiian lei.
Mrs. Reg Gillean, Mrs. Et-
elka Bingham, Mrs. Geneva
Hebert and Mrs. Helen Davies
poured tea during the after-
noon. Serving at the tables
were Mrs. Rooney Christian,
Mrs. Lil Ronnie, Mrs. Beryl
Westhaver and Mrs. Charlotte
McKenzie.

The treasurer of the WA,
Mrs. Velma Johnston, sold tic-
kets for the raffle of a planter
of African Violets which was
won by Mrs. B. Westhaver.
Guide Meeting
Guides of this Park had their
meeting on Wednesday, May
22., Three Brownies "flew-up".
These were: Patricia Lesnick,
Carole Paquette and Susan
Reid.
This Fly-up was followed by
an enrolment — five Guides
were enrolled: Jackie Tatter-
sal, Sandra MacDonald, Patsy
McFarlane, Shirley Petersen
and Shirley Prokopetz. Parents
of all these girls attended.
Proficiency badges were pr-
esented: Second Class badge
went to Shari Sabourin, Fran-
cine Paquette, Lorraine Huard,
and Marie Christian. Skater's
badge went to: Shari Sabourin,
Francine Paquette and Judy
Lesnick. Fire brigade badge to
Shari Sabourin, Lorraine Hu-
ard and Francine Paquette.

and cookies were served by
three guides who were trying
for their hostess badge: Lor-
raine Huard, Shari Sabourin,
Francine Paquette. Official

anaugh accompanied by the LA
President, Mrs. Marg. Spano.
Enjoy Banquet
On Friday evening, May 24,
the annual dinner for Guides
and Brownies and their moth-
ers took place at the Airmen's
Mess. At the head table the
special guests were Mrs. M.
Mathieson, Mrs., M. Bush, Miss
Mary McMillen, Division Com-
missioner.
Mrs. Spano introduced the
guests of honour who there-
upon gave short speeches to
the. groan. of girls and ladies.
Mrs. Pat Marceil introduced
the general program. The sing-
ing was led by Mrs. Helen
Davies as Brown Owl. Grace
before dinner was conducted
by Captain S. Tremblay.
Guide Lorraine Huard pro-
posed the toast to the Queen.
Toast to the Mothers: Carole
Paquette. Reply to this toast
was by Mrs. Paquette.
Thanks are extended to Mrs.
Poxon and Mrs. Henderson who
looked after the catering with
the help of some teen-agers,
mostly all former Guides them-
selves.
Guide Rally
The Guides under Captain S.
Tremblay a n d Lieutenant R.
Lapointe went to Brussels by
bus leaving the station at 12:15
p.m: on Saturday, 'May 25. The
Company of Guides from Clin-
ton joined the girls from the
station. After a most active
afternoon the party returned
home at 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. W. McConnell is a pat-
ient in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
Young people having had
birthdays during the month of
May are the following: Diane

Paquette. Pamela Duguid,
Nicky Haspeck, Pamela Ser-
