lett residents marked their
golden, anniversary on the farm
they settled On following their
wedding 50 years ago.
On Saturday the ,couple were
honored guests at a dinner at
the home of their daughter,
Mrs. Wilbur jewitt and Mn
Jewitt, when members of the
immediate family were present,
1\lfr, Leitch is the son of the
late Alexander Leitch and Jane
Lawson, 1-tullett, while Mrs.
Leitch, who was born in Tuck"
ersroith, is the former Annie
Jarman, daughter of the late
Edward Jarman .and Catherine
Owens.
Mr, and Mrs. Leitch were
married in Seaforth by the
Rev, Barker of the Methodist
Church on April 23, 1913. The
witnesses on that occasion,
Mr. and Mrs, Robert Jamieson,
Hallett, were among the
guests at the family gathering,
Following the wedding cere-
mony the couple returned to
the home of the bride's parents
on the Huron road, and that
evening were guests at a large
reception.
They then went to the Leitch
homestead, lot 15, con, 6. Hul-
lett, where Mr. Leitch had been
born and have resided there
all their married life,

Both have been active In the
community and attend Con-
stance •Vitited,Church where
Mrs, Leitch is a life member
of the WMS, She is also a
member of Londesboro. Nvo,.
men's Institute, Mr. Leitch is
a member of Londeshoro Mas-
onic Lodge and a. member of
Constance Canadian. Order of
Foresters for over .5.0 years,.
Mr. and Mrs. Leitch have
one daughter Elmo, Mrs, Wil-
bur Jewitt; four grandsons,
Ron, Gary, Bev and Brian, and
One granddaughter, Glenyce
Jewitt, all of .Clinton,
Mr. and mi.'s. Leitch held
open house at their residence
on Tuesday, April 23, when
well over 100 persons called
to extend their best wishes to
the bride and groom of 50
years ago.

meet on Thursday, May 9 at 3
p.m. in the church. Mrs. Elgin
McKinley, Goshen United Ch-
urch, vice-president of the Hu-
ron Presbyterial UCW will give
a report of the annual meeting
of London Conference UCW.
Other units are invited to at-
tend.

tery of the United Church el-
ected Rev. W. J. ten Hoopen
as chairman.

'Rev. N. L. Gostonyi, Dungan-
non and Rev. Kenneth Griffith,
Brussels.
Mr. Gostonyi announced he
will be doing family and juv-
enile court work in Guelph,
while the other two are await-
ing calls. The resignations take
effect at the end of June.
Rev. Harold Johnston, Br-
ucefield, announced his retir-
ment, but plans to continue as
an associate with a Stratford
church.
During the meeting, the
Presbytery delegates voted to
present the name of Rev. Clif-
ford Park, Wesley Willis Un-
ited Church, Clinton, as presi-
dent of London Conference.
The Conference will be held
at Westminister College, Lon-
don, from June 4 to 7.
The Clinton minister was
nominated from the floor at
the conference last year. but
was defeated in a close vote
by Rev. Ross Crosby, St,
Marys.
