Both Mr, McGregor .and his wife (the former Elizabeth Ailcenhead) were born and grew up in Stanley Township. Following their marriage they settled on the farm on the second concession of Tuck- ersmith (London Road) where they still reside. They have one son, Fred, Brucefield, and three grand, children, MacNutt - Forrest Marriage vows were exch- anged by Marion Elizabeth Forrest and Gordon Alfred MacNutt before Rev, C. G. Roberta Ann Clark became the bride of Bo-, bert John Peterka. The bride is the only daught- Pr of Mrs, May }Toward .Clark (formerly of Bayfield) and the. late Robert Clark of Cleveland and the groom is, the only son of Mr. .Joseph Peterka and the late Mrs, Peterka, of Cleve, land. The, bride, given in marriage by her god-father, Mr, Ralph Nokes, of Cleveland, chose a white taffeta, chiffon covered floor length gown with a white lace mantilla veil. She wore her paternal grandmother's gold cress and chain, and carried a white prayer book with white satin ribbon and white rosebud markers, The maid of honour, Miss Carol. Rose Erdman of Bruns- Wick, Ohio, was gowned in a floor length apricot taffeta dress with lace chapel cap, She carried a white prayer book with apricot satin ribbon and apricot rosebuds as markers. Roy ,Tordi- son, missionary from Trinidad, told of the work being done there and the need for more experienced worker. Ron Hyland, Bruce Betties, James Knights and David Welsh acted as flower-bearers. The service was held on Tues- day and interment was in Clin- ton cemetery. Mrs. William Stewart Funeral service for the late Mrs. William J. Stewart, Fer- gus, was conducted on Tuesday, April 16 by the Rev. A. R. Robinson from the John Thom- son and Son funeral home, Fer- gus. The former Frances Adeline Cox, the deceased was the dau- ghter of the late Mr, and Mrs. James Cox and was in her 74th year. She was born in Goderich Township near Porters Hill, Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church and later of Bayfield United Church where she was organist for many years. Moving to Clinton in 1928, she was a member of Wesley- WilliS United Church and was organist at the Baptist Church. The deceased was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge and was a past district deputy, taking a great interest in the work as well as in the church. However, failing health in recent years, orced, her to give up most of these activities. She is survived by her hus- band. Pall-bearers at the service were: Roy Marshall, Fred Han- ley, Gordon Mulvey, Earnest Cumming, George Peden and James Redmond, Interment was in Baird's cemetery. Marion E. Emmerson Five grandsons acted as flowerbearer8 for Marion Eliza- beth Emmerson, whose funeral service was held from the Ball and Mutch funeral home on Tuesday. Mrs, Emmerson, in her 91st year, passed away on Sunday at the Timmer Nursing Home, Seaforth. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Cur- Colorful Shrine Will Parade Through Clinton Area people will be treated to a particularly fine parade in mid-June this year, when the cavalcade of vehicles bearing members of the Mocha Temple arrive here at about noon on June 22, Led by their Potentate, John S. Parker, Clinton, the group will parade on foot through the town of Clinton, in the colour- ful fez and costumes which have made Shrine clubs known across the continent. After a similar parade at Goderich, the Shriners will pro- ceed to Grand Bend, where the spring ceremonials will be held, with headquarters in the han- gar at the Air Port east of the village, and a parade through the main street of that resort village. A planning meeting was held at the Air Port on Sunday, with Harry Williains, Clinton, presi- dent of the host group (the Blue Water Shrine Club) in charge. Also attending were Walter C. Mrs, Emmerson had been at the nursing home for the past three years, after spending 18 years in Clinton. She is survived by two sons, Harold and Eldred, both of Clinton; one daughter, Mrs. Leila McLeod, London. Rev. Clifford G. Park of Wesley-Willis United Church, conducted the service and in- terment was in Clinton ceme- tery. Pallbearers were: Murray McDougall, Allen Betties, Al- fred Hudie, George Hudie, Fras- er Stirling and Roy Tyndall. The five flowerbearers were: Robert Emmerton, Glen and Kenneth McLeod, Leroy Tra- quair and Jack Simone. Persons attending the service from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Alf McGregor, Mr. and Mrs. Jack McGregor, Mrs. Har- old McGregor, all of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Simone, Sarnia; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Traquair, Fort Erie; Mr. and Mrs. Glen McLeod and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McLeod, London, and Mr. Oran Russell, Brussels. James Howard Snell A former farmer in both Hul- lett and Tuckersmith Town- ships, James Howard Snell, 77, passed away in Clinton Public Hospital, Sunday, April 21. The retired farmer, who had taken up residence in Clinton seven years ago, had not enjoy- ed good health for the past year. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Snell, Hul- lett Township. Mr. Snell is survived by his wife, the former Clare Ander- son, whom he married in 1914. Also surviving are one daugh- ter, Mrs. Robert (Beatrice) Welsh, Bayfield; two brothers, Ephriam, Hullett Township; William, Lambeth; one sister, Miss Mary Snell, Hamilton; four grandchildren, Mrs. Ron- ald (Kathryn) Hyland and David, Donald and Ralph Welsh. He was a highly respected farmer and on retiring to Chit-
