St. John's Gospel 20:1-21 and
the hymn "When I Survey The
Wonderous Cross" was sung.
Members answered 'roll call
with a Easter thought.
An invitation to the Easter
Thankoffering at Turner's Ch-
urch and one to the Presbyter-
ial Thankoffering on April 17
were accepted. Mrs. Harvey
Johnston gave a splendid report
on the first annual presbyterial
held in Goderich.
The program cinsisted of an
instrumental by Mrs. Elva Wilt-
se entitled "In A Monastery
Garden," a reading by Mrs. L.
Lawson, "A Lady's Aid," and a
reading by Mrs, M. Wiltse
"What Easter Means."

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nelson
entertained the Wesley-Willis
Sunday School executive mem-
bers at their home for the reg-
ular meeting,
In the absence of Mr. Malt
Edgar the superintendent, Mr.
Park was in charge and open-
ed the meeting with prayer.
The minutes of the previous
meeting were read and approv-
ed. These brought a discussion
on Bible Vacation School which
had been mentioned at an earl-
ier meeting, It was decided that
each teacher should call the
parents of members of their
classes asking the following
uestionS
Do you want a Bible Vaca-
tion School for the children?
What dates in July would be
most acceptable to you? Would
you be willing to help one week
or two? As a leader would you
be wiling to attend a class of
instruction? The teachers to
report at next meeting.
Mr. Park reported Don Cor-
nish to be the guest speaker

The leading individual bowlers in the Clinton Mixed Bowling League, which
competed at Jim's Bowling Alley this year, received their rewards at the

Mrs. Donald Middleton was
hostess for the April meeting
of the Women's Auxiliary of
St. JameS Anglican Church

This meeting was well-at-
tended with 14 Members and
three visitors present,
Quilting was the order of' the
atfernoon ftillowed by the reg-
ular devotional and business
period.
The president, Mrs, Ray Wise
opened the meeting with the
beautiful hymn poem, "In the
Woods, My Master Went". The
scripture lesson was 'read by
Mrs. John Grigg and the roll
call war answered by the word
"arise",
Mrs, John Grigg read the
minutes and Mrs. Alvin Dutot
presented the financial state-
ment.
It was decided to subscrlbe

A letter from our Japanese
Prayer Partner and translated
by Miss Hawkins was read, pre-
senting an interesting picture
of the school staff at Nagaya
and of their activities. A photo
of this group was passed
around,
for the Sunday School anni-
versary, June 16. . The three
superintendents are to plan the
program, alsothe junior and
intermediate ' choirs are to be
asked to sing. 'Envelopes to be
distributed to give members of
the congregation the privilege
of assisting with the work of
the Sunday School.
Mother's Day servce was dis-
cussed and it was decided to
hold it as a "family day,"
Mrs. Nelson served refresh-
ments and a social hour was
enjoyed,

Over 500 persons sat in to
view the show, "Spring at Last"
and witnessed the new creations
Artistically shown by the ch-
arming and handsome models,.
The show, convened by Mrs.
William Fink, presented 18
adult models and an equal num-
ber of children, with their fash-
ions for spring and SUrtimap.
Commentator was Valy Smith
a professional model from .Len,
don. Kinette president, Mrs.
Ken Clynick, was master of
ceremonies.

Harrison closed the meeting
with prayer.
A bounteous lunch and so-
cial time followed, with Mrs.
McFarlane again contributing
many melodies on her accor-
dion.
The usual plant sale will be
held at the next meeting.
