in which the preceptling was

it does go to show that perhaps

Which to become a social out-
cast, but we almost blundered
into a situation on Tuesday that
would have been one of the
most effective ways ever de-
vised. While attending a ban-
quet in the Hotel Clinton, the
waitress came around and ask-
ed for a showing of hands of all
those who wished pork. We
were surprised to note that all
the hands in the room quickly
shot up and as we attempted
to find out what alternative
was being served, fortunately
realized that we had better get
our hand into the air quickly.
The reason—the meeting was
the Huron County Hog Produc,
ers' Association.

IN MEMORIAM
In loving memory of a dear
grandmother. Daisy E. Church-
ill, who passed away February
14, 1962.
"In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away,
Our hearts were almost broken,
You fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping
So peacefully, so free from
pain,
We could not ,wish you back
To suffer all that again.?
—Sadly missed by her grand-
children. 7b
JOHNSTON—In loving mem-
ory of a dear husband and
father, James Johnston, who
passed away suddenly February
15, 1960:
"There is no parting from
those we love,
No distance can divide,
For to-day in memories garden
We still walk side by side.
Each dawning day a thought
of him,
At eventide a prayer,
For in. the hearts of those
who loved him,
He always will be there."

meeting on Tuesday night, groc-
er Maynard Corrie introduced
himself as a "journalist", no
doubt because of his letter to
the editor of the News-Record
last week, when he pointed out
the position of small grocers
with regard to advertising food
specials in local papers. The
Lions were quick to recognize
this new-found ability of Mr.
Corrie, and he was immediately
delegated to answer the mon-
thly letters which are received
from the Club's adopted child
