The dancing will be con- ducted in the large basement room which is not licensed and has a seating capacity for over 200 patrons. Private parties, wedding receptions and other similar events will be Staged here, while a smaller room that seats 50 can be use d for smaller functions. There is also a small snack bar which will be used prim-' arily for breakfasts and light lunches, Similar to the din- ing room it is adjoining the kitchen. Although entrance to the Timberlane Room and the dining lounge may be made through the front doors, Doug explained that the. He urged that more memb- ers attend such courses, not- ing the cost was low and a person gained a, great deal from it, Reply to Mr. Coultes After learning that Charles Coultes, Belgrave, secretary of the Huron Free Enterprise Agriculture Producers, Ii a d crticised the Federation for cutting some of the material from a letter he had written for use in their annual survey, president Elmer Ireland report- ed he had taken it upon him- self to delete the "propaganda". He also reported Mr. Coultes had written him a letter ques- tioning the reason for the action but it had not been answered. He said he would if the members wished, and it was decided that a letter should be written pointing out that the publication was produced by the Federation and as such they had control over the mat- erial used. "It would be an act of cour- tesy to explain it to bim," one member stated. Earlier in the meeting, Mrs. John Elliott, secretary of the Federation, asked the memb- ers what she should do in re- gards to the Clinton News- Record not publishing her weekly news letter. News-Record reporter, Bill Batten, explained that room did not always permit publica- tion and the report did not always deal directly with Hur- on Federation information. He pointed out the paper would be willing to assist Mrs, Elliott in producing a news- worthy report and a public relations committee of Mrs. Elliott, Elmer Ireland and Alec McGregor was named to assist in producing the reports for the Huron weeklies, To Equip Kitchen The members held a lengthy discussion on the idea present- ed by Alec McGregor, RR 2, Kippen, to furnish the small kitchen at the new Agricul- ture office for refreshments following various meetings. Other members suggested various groups in the county. would probably be willing to donate to the east and suggest- ed a committee be named to investigate what was needed and the cost entailed. Named to the committee were Mrs. Elliott, Mrs, Alec McGregor, Mrs. Horace Del- bridge, RR 1, Woodham and Miss Isabelle Gilchrist, Huron Home Economist. In other business, the Fed- eration: Voted to donate $50 to the independent Canadian Agricul- ture Economic Research com- mittee. Named. Alec McGregor and Charles Thomas, the two vice- presidents, as delegates to the annual Canadian Federation meeting in Windsor from Jan- uary 22 to 24 and Elmer Ire- land and Mrs. Charles Thomas as delegates to the annual On- tario Rural Leadership Forum. Heard a talk and flip-chart presentation on programing from Bob Eaton, Western On- tario fieldman for the Federa- tion. Jerry W. .KPrrio.b411, of Kernoheh Homes, London, re, ported this week the building of the new Elm Haven Motor Hotel in Clinton was one of. the biggest jobs his firms had ever undertaken, Although they have built several restaurants in the Western Ontario area, it was the first time they had ever attempted a complete motel on such a scale as the Fleis- chaaiers new budding. However, the firm did com- plete an $800,000 apartment building, their biggest project to date.
