Entertainment included Christmas skit with roles por. trayed by Chrissie Cameron, Cheryl Mousseau, Linda .Low- ery, Brenda .Noakes, Heather Reid, narrator Cheryl Little, A recreational period of gam, ee was directed by Joan and Lois Simmons, Weedy Muir, Chriesie Cameron, Marcia Lit, tie, Members exchanged gifts and a Christmas lunch was served. Brownie Party Concludes Year A Christmas program con- ducted by the First Hensel], Brownies concluded the 1962 season, Special guest for the afternoon was former Brown Owl, Mrs, Earl Rowe. Jane Smith, sixer of the Pix- ies, ' directed a playlet "The Best Day of the Year". The Elves.presented a nativ- ity scene .while singing "Away in a Manger" led by sixer Dor- othy Kipfer, Julie Heal and Wendy Webster read Christ- mas stories. "The Gift Bringer", a play written by sixer Beth Cook, was the contribution of the Fairies. The Gnomes sang a medley of Christmas songs accompan- ied on the piano by seconder Mary Mock, • Then the Brownies, with their leaders, sang severe' Brownie songs for the patients and staff of. the Queensway Nursing Home, The Brownies also presented them, with tray favours for their Christmas dinner, made under the direc- tion of Tawny Owl, Mrs. Jack Drysdale:. The first meeting of the new year will be January 8. The Hensel]. Brownies and Guides presented two lovely poinsettia plants to the United Church as a token of thanks for being allowed to hold their meetings in the church base- ment. Minors Open Season at RCAF Rink Clinton RCAF arena was the scene of the opening tilt of the area bantam league, recently, when the host crew tackled Milverton in their debut. The night took on an even brighter aspect when the homesters won the game.
