Born on, November 8, 1873,
'he was the son of Thomas Fair -
service and Anne Taylor, Hul-
letit Township. In 1904 the mar-
ried Addle Main, who prede-
ceased hili in 1937.
Mr. F1airservice angved to
Belmont, Man., when .he was 26
years old, and fanned there
for 21 years ,before returning
to Hulleitt where he farmed
near Landesbora until 1954.
Then he 'retired to Clinton.
He ,passed away at his home
at 8.30 ,a.m. on Wednesday
morning, July 18.
Surviving are two sots,
George and Herbert, both of
Clinton; four daughters;, Mrs.
Mary Appleby, Blyth; Mrs.
Ralph (Isabelile) Josling, Dade -
rich; Mrs. Effle Furley, Clime
ton; Mrs, George

Work on the new chturph has
been progressing steadily since
it was begun the first of June.

pleted ready 'for brick, stone and
shingles, and window F frames
are in plaice. Partitions in the
chancel •area: ,and second -storey

structed. The structure of the
50'x90' building is to test
$75,486 (excluding furnishings,
heating equipment and ' land -
soaping).
The -building being construct-
ed by the Germat Construction
Co., Wiaterloo is to be complet-
ed by the first of October and
the official 'opening and &dica-
tioai is planned for late Oeteber.
The building w111 •provide a
Chancel -type sanctuary, 48'x56',
with centre and side aisles,
seating approximately 290. A
spacious narthex with two side
entrances, separated from' the
nave by a louvred -glass ,parti-
tion, will provide oventlow seat-
ing for 100. The structure will
also ;provide 11 classrooms,
