Mrs. Allan Johnston
KIPPEN Passed away in
Clinton Thursday, June 7,
Gladys Carlisle Johnson. She
was the eldest daughter of the
late James Bell McLean and
Ellen C. Crawford and beloved
wife of Allen Johnson. She
was born at Kipper and was
in her 58th year.
She taught school fora num-
ber of years before her mar-
riage on December 25, 1935.
She was active in church work
and was a member of, the choir
of St. Andrew's United Church
for a number of years.
She leaves to mourn her loss
her husband, a daughter Eileen
and two .sons, Donald A. and
R. Gerald; two sisters, Rose
Marion, Exeter; Mrs. Waiter
(Dorothy) Geddes, Owen
Sound; three brothere, William
J., !Hamilton; Ferne U., Toron-
to; Clence S., London. One,
brother Robert C. prodeCeased
her in 1945.
The funeral was held on Sat-
urday from the Bonthron funer-
chapel, Henson. Interment was
in Baird's Cemetery. Rev. Har-
old Johnston officiated at the
service and pallbearers were
Hugh Hendrick, Bert Faber,
Howard Lemon, Wilmer- Jones,
Alex McBearthand Jack Pepper.
Friends and relatives attend-
ed from Windsor, Toronto,
Hamilton, London,- Barrie, Sea-
forth and Exeter.

tee engaged two directors for
the summer program: Miss Pat
Rowe, a Grade 13 student at
South Huron District High
School, and a Gold Cord Guide,
and Miss Norma Passmore, who
will teach school in.. Burlington,
There will 'be three cornpe-
tent 'assistants, qualified in
playground, leadership. The pro-
gram will last from July 2 to
July 27, five days a week
Afternoons' will be set aside
for swimming. Age limit is
5-12 years.

operate a motel on the Trans-
Canada Highway.
HENSALL—The 52nd annual
Love-Forrest reunion was held
at Riverview Park, Exeter, on
Wednesday, June 6. The weath-
er was perfect and about 75
of the clan slat down to' a
sumptuous picnic supper. Those
attending were from Parkhill,
'Medford, Grand Bend, Walton,
Guelph, Hensall and' Exeter.,
Hugh Love, Henna!, 75, was
the oldest person present. He
is the son of the late Andrew
Love,' who wan the oldest son
of the late Hugh Love, Si„ who
emigrated from Scotland'
1852. Mr. and Mrs. Love have
one son Earl Love, RR 1, Zu-
rich, an one daughter Mrs.
Percy Campbell, Exeter, also
six grandchildren' and eight
great grandchildren.
Grant Love, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Keith Love, RR 1, Zurich,
was the youngest child present.

Abbott, and Sergeant and Mrs.
Al Shouldice, won the play-offs
and were presented' with indi-
vidual trophies by Mrs. J. G.
