After a round of bridal show-
ers and parties, luncheon's and
dinners—all gala -occasions in
themselves---the wedding festiL
vities are Usually climaxed with
a post rehearsal party and of
course, the reception right
after the ceremony,
With the latter entertain-
ments in mind, we bring you
two June Wedding Month re-
cipes, designed to suit the small
and, simple affair. Photograph-
ed for you. is a light and lovely
Bride's (lake, iced with a smooth
butter frosting, that fairly
"blossoms" with good wishes to
the about-to-be-married %couple.
What's more, gorgeous and
fancy as it may appear, the
cake is' relatively easy to make
. , and inexpensive too Flank-
ed by lighted tapers or candles,
this three-tiered creation would
be perfect for a rehearsal party
though we suggest it could 'ap-
pear at the wedding reception
itself . . . if you're not "mar-
ried" to the idea of having the
usual fruited wedding cake.-
Planning on something sav-
ory for first Course? Try the
Hot Cheese Tartlets, wonderful
little morsels of pastry tilled
with a zippy dhees'e meringue.
The .shells are baked ahead of
time, then filled and given a
ten minute baking period in a
very hot oven to finish them
up.
On to the recipes . . . but

like to tuck in our best wishes
to the bride and groom, and to
the entertaining hostesses.
