ing league at Clinton Automatic Bowling Lanes this past winter. They are,

Broadfoot; James Kenneth,
son, of Mr. and Mrs. James
Aikenhead. The church was
decorated with lovely summer

Mrs. Broadfoot is convalescing
at her home, having undergone
an operation on her nose in
Stratford General Hospital.
David Ewan suffered a heart
attack on Saturday, morning
and is having a few days rest
in Clinton Public Hospital.

Alice McLeod, Joseph Street,
Clinton, who, passed away sud-
denly at her home on Satur-
day, May 12. She was in her
78th year.

High Street, Clinton, and in-
terment was in Clinton Ceme-
tery.

Born on the, 24th of June,
1884, she was the daughter 'of
Thomas Bunking and Susan-
nah Fisher, leullett Township.
She married Angus McLeod
and the lived in Clinton, Her
husband predeceased her about
20 years ago. Mrs. McLeod
was a member of Ontario St-
reet United Church.
Surviving are her daughter,
Margaret, Mrs. Norman Wait-
son, Toronto; a son, Harvey
Hunking, Londesboro; two sis-
ters, Mrs. Charles Vodcien,
Londesboro and Miss Susan

ship; a grandson, Alan, Wat-
son, Sarnia and granddaughter

Mrs. Lloyd Scotchmer, ac-

R'athwell, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Edgar Rathwell, Goderich
Township, who is home from
Ryerson Institute, Toronto,
after completing her first year
in home economics, went with
Howard Scotchmer to London
on Sunday. They attended the
London Teachers College Open
House and one of the three
services for graduates at First
Baptist Church at three o'clock.
They were also the guests of
Mrs. Scotchmer's sister, ,Mrs.
L. M. Burt.
