(News-Record Photo) Fashion Show Headlined By Hope Garber From London Hope With Young Model Tiny models were the hit of the evening before the lunch-time intermission. This young Iad waited until the end of the evening and then made a trip back up the ramp to bid his adieus to Hope Garber. He's Bruce Weese, four years old, son of. Mr. and Mrs. W. Weese, 48 Rattenbury Street, The balloon was part of the modeling job. (News-Record Photo) Primping For Public There's quite a bit of primping goes on in the dressing room backstage of a fashion show, even of the amateur variety such as the Kinettes and their many helpers staged last week. Here Mrs. P. L. Berry puts some finishing touches on a coif- feur which helps make the clothing a girl wears, just that much more "right". The Kinet- tes could not resist the opportunity to don fur coats for this picture, and Hope Garber Wasted no time in gathering up a lovely mink, stole, too. (News-Record Photo) Spring Ensembles For Easter Wearing Ready for another appearance on stage, following intermission, are Mrs. P. L. Berry, Goderich; Mrs. William Fin' and Mrs. Elliott Bartliff, 45 White- head Street. Their gay spring hats and matching accessories with the newest of spring garb, set the scene for Easter. (News-Record Photo) , 1 e e W 1 ' Hope Garber, London, lent a professional touch to the .highly successful fashion_ show held by the Kinette Club of Clinton in the large auditorium at Clinton District Collegiate Institute last week. As commentator during the showing of men's, women's, bOys' and girls' clothing, Hope introduced each model and de- scribed the clothing, accessories and the store from which it was available. Models included t.he following children, Jill Epps:, Paul Cald- well, Bruce Weese, Beverly Slade, Patti Kay, Beth ,Cnowen, Lynn Boyce, Paul Anstebt, Bar- bara Knox. Ladies modelling were Miss Elaine Ball, Mrs. Elliott Bart- liff, Mrs. P. L. Berry, Miss Elaine Brown, Miss Mary Jean Colquhoun, Mrs. George F. El- liott, Mrs. Donald Epps, Mrs. Ellwood EPps, Mrs. Win, Fink, Mrs. George Hopkins, Mrs. Don- ald Kay, Mrs. Donald! Shearer, Mrs. Fred Thompson. Men'S' and boys' wear' were shown by Robert Addison, .Rob- ibie Campbell and Ernest Morel. Committee in oharge of the mo- dels was Mrs. W. Chowen, Mrs. F. Radlek and Mrs.. Clarence Denomme. This major project in the Kinette year, involves the work of many committees, In charge of decorations, which this year set a springtime theme with rose arbour, flowers, etc., were Mrs. Kenneth Clyin6k, Mrs. Donald Shearer and -Mrs, Wil- liam Fleming. . • Publicity and posters, were by Mrs. Ken Scott and Mrs. Fred Radley; tickets were prepared by Mrs. Andy Peterson and Mrs. Jim Helesic. Tables and chairs were set. up following the close of the school day at 4 p.m.; convened by Mos, Ross Colquhoun, and Mrs. Percy Pugh. The ramp was installed -under- the conven, ershiry of Mrs. J. Clegg -and Mrs.. R. Van Riesen. Lunch was serv- ed during tiritermission, With many Kinettes serving, conven- ed by Mrs. K. W. Colquhoun and Mrs. John Anstett. Programs were prepared by Mrs.. Donald Kay and Mrs. Ronald Smith. Mrs. J. Helesic was vesponsible for obtaining favours available -to each lady in the audience as she arrived at her -seat. These included cig- arettes, rain bonnetS and col- ogre. Lighting was planned by Mrs. Pat Hardie and Mrs. Don- ald. Epps-, and G. L. "Bud" Hay- ter lent his technical skills. Draws were made fora var- iety of prizes -convened by Mrs. Frank Cook. - -Conveners in charge of the entire event were Mrs. Maitland Edgar and Mrs. William Fink. Mrs. C. Denomme was mistress of ceremonies, introducing som- mentator Hope Garber, and Gifts go with -fashion shows, and in -addition to favours- at eadh table setting,, the ladies were able to participate in draws for '39 prizes offered by merchants. O'Connell, Mrs. Bouffant Maybe riot a hair style for everyday going to school wear, this "do" was combed into place by Bob Ayers during inter- mission and Miss Elaine Brown consented to pose for the camera. The Kinettes -are especially appreciative of the -help given by caretakers' of the school, Laurence Denomme and Karl Skov. During intermission Mrs. Or- land Johnston, owner of. Edith Ann Hair Fashions, made a de- monstration of _hair styling. Her model was Mrs. Antoine (Red) Garon. Carol Chowen, Mrs, Bev Sher- man, Mrs. John Wallace, Mrs. R. Carter, Loy Aim Ruther- ford. Gift certificates for $5 each from Irwin's Ladies Wear ware won, by Miss Jane Batkin -and Mrs: Lou Waizak. . Bouquets of flowers from K.. C. Cooke, florist, were won by Moe, T. A. Dutton, Brucefield and by Mrs. Maynard Carrie, Bayfiold. Two prizes. of five dozen eggs eadh, -given by C. J. Livermore, Clinton were won :by Mrs. H. Berry and Mrs.' Harry Hans-en. Chocolate Easter novelties from Bartliffls were .won by Mrs Marie Sichoenhals -and Kate McGregor. Other prizes- included -a floral arrangement from - Simpson- Sears, won by Miss Margaret Skov; a :hanging planter from HawkinS Hardware won by Mrs. Lou Dutot; $2 worth of gag from Fine gas station, Mrs. Jean Herman.
