HomeMy WebLinkAboutClinton News-Record, 1962-04-05, Page 10Agreement Signed For First FAME Packing Plant An agre,ement was signed last week by Charles McInnis, Iroquois, president of FAME; John Troy and Mel Becker, Ayr, secretary -treasurer o,f FAME, , under which the Troy and Stalder firm from Om- , aha, Nebraska, will recommend a site for one or more meat packing plants which FAME is propos- ing to build in'ural Ontario. Mr Troy centre,.. above, is senior partner in the consultative firm. Troy and Stalder will hire a firm of Toronto arch- itects to prepare .designs and working drawings, and FAME hopes to have the first plant operational by this time in 1963. This week the men are sel- ecting the site of the first plant an decision vvill'be announced in about ten days. FAME is the Farmers Allied Meat Enterprises Co-operative Ltd.
