there. Then he attended Lon-
don Teachers College and pur-
suing the field, in which he was
most interested': "Mental Re-
tardation" for several years he
taught an opportunity class of
children in St. Thomas.
Mr. Cox emphasized the fact
that these children are differ-
ent, and their needs are differ-
ent, and early training contrib-
utes to more successful treat-
ment.
Professional help should be
sought, he said, when placing
these children for their proper
classification, These children,
because of their handicap, have
more cause for frustration, and
therefore a planned program
with definite goals to meet their
emotional and physical needs
must be well prepared.
He quoted cases where prop-
er teaching and training had
been received and although
these children are ftinctioning
below average they can learn
to be useful and maeter many
simple tasks. He concluded ,his
address by eemindling the group

The Bible Today
In Guatemala the need for
translations in local. dialects as
well as in Spanish has been
partially met by the issuing of
the New Testament in Kekchi
and two Gospel portions in Mem
of Huchustenango as well as a
revision of e Quiche Gospel.
This brings to ten the number
of Dialects into which some part
of the Scriptures has been trans-
lated, Missionary translators are
thus providing the tools to bring
the story of the Savior to the
very mixed population of the
country.
In Peru during the first half
of 1961 the circulation of Scrip-
tures totalled 202,364 volumes,
First copies of the New Testa-
ment in Fero were received and
distributed to the Indians along
the banks of the Urubama River

Under the Roberts: Plan, gene
anal Grade 9 is used as' an ex-

ing reasons:
Many students have 'develop-
ed prejudices from unreliable
and misinterpreted second-hand
information. This is, the reason
for having a general Grade 9.
Mary others do not know
how well they can do in a sub-
