Fisher and sister Miss Eleanor. The Hensall Band is sponsoring a Band Tattoo to be held 'here on Wednesday, August 17th. About a dozen hands are expected to take part, Minor and Huron, Mr. and and son HENSALL frequent visits to Hensall to visit relatives and friends. Mrs. Steacy was a former member of the Presby­ terian church but became a member of the United church at the time of Union. She is survived by two sons John sand Fred, of Detroit, and one daughter Lillian Steacy, of Detroit. The eldest son Logie passed away here about 15 years ago. There are also1 three brothers and a sfie(tejr living in the West. The remains were brought to Hensall on Thurs­ day evening and rested at the home or Mrs. Robt. She told how bad they were in need of workers, out there, being just two missionaires for ninety thousand in­ habitants. We are sorry to know Charles Upshall will be confined to the house for several weeks having returned from Stratford Hospital where he received treatment for his eye, having being accidentally struck in the face by a flying stick and thereby injuring his eye. We are also sorry to hear that his new car has been badly damaged the other day. His hired man, driving at a fast rate of speed lost control of it and went over the ditch, through the fence and landed upside down in Mr. A. war’s orchard. The little 7-year-oid daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elliatt Bell, of Toron­ to, who was spending some holidays at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Bell, who resides near Hensall, had the misfortune while playing with some children at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sydney McArthur, to frac­ ture her leg near the ankle. It ap­ pears that while helping Sandy AIc- Arthur, young son of Air. and Airs. McArthur, to open the heavy barn door, using a crow bar, the door slipped from , Sandy’s grasp causing him to lose control of the crow bar which slipped, striking the little girl’s ankle. She was taken to Clin­ ton General Hospital for treatment. Her father came for her on Sunday and took her to her home in To­ ronto. Mr, and Mrs. Robt. McKenzie and children spent Sunday at Point, Air. Albert Passmore, of ______, visited over the week-end at his home here. Mrs. Geo. Fee, who has been very poorly for several weeks is recover­ ing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McLean and children, of Hamilton, are visiting with relatives. A. Paterson, Clerk Death of Mrs. Joanna Steacy The death occurred at her home in Detroit, on Thursday, of Mirs. Joanna Steacy, widow of the late Samuel Steacy and a former well known Hensall resident. Mrs. Steacy had been in fair health up to a few weeks ago when she suffered a severe stroke from which she fail­ ed to rally. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Bon­ thron and was born on the 3rd Con­ cession of Hay Twp. west of Hensall 68 where she spent her ter her marriage to Mr. Steacy, She came to Hensall in Hensall Mrs. respected by all splendid neighbour and always wil­ ling to do her part when help was wanted?
