Junies Street Willing Workers
Miss Beta Rowe was hostess on
Thursday evening of last week to
the regular meeting of the James
Street 'Willing Workers’ Auxiliary.
A short business session was presid
ed over by the president also the
following program. The devotional
was taken by Misses Mary McKaig.
Celia Christie and Mrs. McTavish. A
duet was sung by Mrs, Ellsmere and
Miss pearl Wood and an instrumen
tal by Mrs. J. W. Batson which were
much appreciated. Mrs. J. M. South
cott in a very interesting manner
told of her recent trip with the On
tario and Quebec Newspaper Assoc
iation to Timmins and Kirkland
Lake where the party visited the
gold mines. This timely address
revealed to the group some idea of
the great mining district and the
work that is being carried on in this
our own Dominion.
