Dore, who has been con­ fined to his bed for several days suffering from the effects of a fall from a ladder, was able to be up for the first time on Tuesday. He expects to be around again soon. Mr. and Mrs. W. McDowell sons Orval and Gordon visited Mrs. McDowell’s parents, Mr. Mrs. Wm. Vale for a couple of last week. Goulding motored to St. Thomas to attend the operetta “The Rose of Danube” sponsored by the Kiwanis club of that city. Mrs. Alex Mc- Falls accompanied them as far as Forest and visited there with her sister Mrs. King; also her mother Mrs. Whiteford. Mr. B. W. F. Beavers and son Reg. are visiting the former’s son Mr. Lloyd Beavers in Detroit. Main Street Mission Circle The monthly meeting of the Ad- astra Mission Circle of Main Street Churoh met at the 'home of Miss Thelma Hockey on Wednesday ev­ ening. The meeting opened with “Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross” af­ ter which Mr?. C. Johns led in pray­ er. As it was the annual election of officers Mrs. Johns took charge. The followiiTg are the new officers for the coming year. President, Thelma ^Hockey; First Vice-President, Lillian MacDonald; 2nd Vice-President, Marilyn Camp­ bell; Treasurer, Dorothy Jennings; Secretary, Kathleen Kestle; Corres? ponding Secretary, Eleanor Abbott; Press Correspondent, Norma Wilson.
