which is seldom seen In this com
munity. It weighed fifteen ounces.
The lembn grew on a tree grown by
Capt, Bedford of town. The blos
som from which the lemon grew
came out in February last. Several
smaller lemons are now growing on
the tree. Mr, Bedford also has an
orange tree on which are growing
several small oranges. The trees
are grown ill a square tub and plac
ed outside in the summer and taken
indoors for the winter,

The Margaret Strang Auxiliary
held a work meeting on Thursday,
October 21. As this year’s work is
practically completed it was decided
to display it at the Thank Offering
meeting to be held Thursday, Oc
