The editor of the Times-Advocate was treated on Tuesdaj' to a nice feed of ripe raspberries picked from the garden of Mrs. Gee. Jaques. Miss Marjorie Pearce, who recent­ ly underwent an operation in Vic­ toria Hospital, returned to her home in Exeter on Thursday last and is doing nicely. Mr. .Frank Helsom and son Fran­ cis, of Detroit and daughter Mrs. Andersen and baby son Lee, of Mt. Clements, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. F. Coates. Mrs. Nash, of Sarnia, spent a few days with her daughter Mrs. Powell then going on to Wingham and Kin­ cardine returning again to Exeter after a couple of weeks. An open meeting of the school was held in the afternoon ■md marked the changing of the hour of meeting from the morning to the afternoon for the fall and winter months. James Street Sunday School have changed the time of promotion of the classes from Now Year to Rally Day. The change will take place next Sunday, Rally Day at Main St. Rally Day Services were held by the Main Street Sunday School on Sunday afternoon last. Services during the summer have been held in the morning and this marked the change back for services in the af­ ternoon. There was a good atten­ dance. Mr. B, w. F. Beavers, the superintendent presided. A selection was sung by the primary depart­ ment. A duet was sung by Kath­ leen and Lillian Kestle. Mr, Thus.
