The Municipal Council of Usborne
Township met on above date with
all the members present. Minutes of
the August meeting were read and
adopted on motion by Ballantyne
and Passmore.
A list of Lands in Huron County
to be sold for Taxes on December 8,
1936, was received and contents
noted.
A request for membership from
the Extension Dept, of Western Uni
versity in connection, with lectures
on Amnicipal Affans to be given in
October was read. Letter filed on
motion of Passmore and Beriy.
Ont. Dept, of Health gave notice
that twenty-five percent, of cost of
insulin for indigents would in fu
ture be charged to Municipality in
which it is issued.
Clerk gave notice that hydro had
been accepted by Alunicipality for
Orville Cann and Fred Dawson.
Claim foi damage to wheat killed

'The Mission Circle
The Mission Circle met on Satur
day afternoon at Ruth Hodgson’s
with nine members present. Velma
Squire presided. Scripture lesson
was read by Jean Alorley; readings
were given by Alerle Squire, Ruth
Hodgson, Alaida Morley, Jean Og
den and Eunice Paikinson. At this
time a short business meeting was
held followed by an instrumental

Docicing-Parkinson
The home of Air. and Airs.
Parkinson, tenth concession,
shard, was the scene of a
wedding at high noon, September 2,
when tlieir second daughter Alma
Alaud became the bride of Gordon
Edwin Docking, only son of Mrs.
Docking and the late George A.
Docking of S'taffa. The ceremony
was performed by the Rev. Mr. Ste-
w’art of Centralia, under an arch of
pink and white centred with a white
wedding bell and banked with a
profusion of begonias and gladiolus.
The bride entered the parlor on the
arm of her father to the strains of
the wedding Alarcli played by Miss
Margery Parkinson sister of the
bride. The bride was becomingly
go vned. in white silk net over taf
feta with emibr* idered silk net veil
caught to the head with a bandeau
of orange blossoms and wore white
kid slippers aud carried tea roses.

Alary Moffat, of Aloncton, cousin of
the groom, wearing pale gieen flow
ered chiffon while Russel Parkinson
brother of the bride was groomsman
After the ceremony dinner was serv
ed to only the immediate families
of the young couple by Mrs. Stanley

Herb Ruch, of St. Alarys. The room
was decorated with pink and white
streamers and was also used on the
bride’s talble, which was centred
with the bride’s cake and pink
candles. Later the happy couple left
on a motor trip to Toronto and
iMuskoka the bride tavelling in a
breoyn crepe dress with satin trim- J
mings and accessories to match. On
their return they will reside on the _
groom's farm near Staffa.

The September meeting of the AV.
AL S. was held at the home of Airs.
Norman Block. The president had
charge of the meeting which opened
with the watchword repeated in
son. This was followed by hymn

was read by Airs. Norman Brock
and prayer led by Airs. Warren
Brock. AVe then sang hymn 372. A

herself on the guitar, “Wide as the
Ocean.” by Airs. Clare Towle. The
sixth Chapter of the Study Book
was taken by Airs. Angus Earl ‘‘Ed
ucation for Life” followed with a
poem by Airs. C. Jaques “God Bless
the Misison Boat”. Airs. AV. J. Brock
invited us to her bonne for the next
meeting. Rev. Air. Penrose then
gave a short talk and closed the
meeting with prayer. A ten cent
lunch was served and a social halt
hour spent.
