Mrs. Eric Kennedy and children Ross and June have returned home after a pleasant visit in Detroit. Miss Violet Miller, of Winnipeg, spent a few days last week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Dayman. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hess have re­ turned home after visiting for a few days with friends in Detroit. Mr. and Mrs, Roy McLaren are spending this week visiting with friends in Hamilton- and Toronto. 'Mr. Milton Ortwein, of London, visited over the week-end with his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ortwein. Quite a number frolm here attend­ ed the Conservative 'picnic at Bay- field on Wednesday afternoon last. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce -Koehler and babe are visiting friends in Toronto and also attending the Exhibition. Miss Ada Gram has returned to Detroit after a pleasant visit with her parents Mr. and Mrs. George Gram. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Harton, of Texas, arrived on Tuesday and will spend latives. Mr. and Mrs. H. Hawkins and daughter Joyce, of Clinton, visited with Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Dayman on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lome Banantyne and babe, of Detroit, are visiting with the former’s mother Mrs. Carrie Banantyne. Misses Marion and Jessie Paisley have been visiting in Detroit for a -couple of days the guests of their aunt Mrs. Harris. ■Mr. Wm. During the evening the address was read by Mr. Earl Hamilton and Mr. Ed. Faulder presented them with a chair and an end table. Mr. Mathers made a very fitting reply.
