Mr. Walter Dearing, of London, who was injured in an accident in that city soone time ago, has been or­ dered to bed for an indefinite period. Mr. and Mrs. James Lutton, Misses Rachael and Marjorie Lutton, Mr. Jack Miles and Miss Ali-ce were Sunday guests at the Mr. Chas. Dayman. -On Sunday evening last E. Southcott, of Mt. Brydges -occu­ pied the pulpit of the James Street United Church, Rev. Mr. Page taking the work at Mt. Brydges. Mrs. Edna Hearts an-d Miss B. Sheppard, of Toronto, visited with Mr. -and M’rs. E. A. Follick over the week-end. Mrs. Follick’s brother, Mr. E. French, of Toronto, is quite seriously ill. Rev. H. C. Feast, of -Seaforth, preached at Caven Presbytrian church on Sunday morning. Rev. S. Moore Gordon took the Spring An­ niversary services at Seaforth for Mr. Feast. Mrs. Bowman, otf Windsor, who visited with her sister, Mrs. Thomas Oke, and who was taken ill, has im­ proved and is at present visiting with her niece, Mrs. Jns. Bailey, of Usborne. The 160th Bruce Battalion will hold a .reunion and old ho'nie week in Wiarton, June 29 th, 30 th and July 1st, 1936. A full program of sports has been arranged for the entertainment of the visitors. The total amount on deposit in the Penny Bank for the Exeter Pub­ lic -School at the end of, April was $704.72 in comparison with $988.- &8 one year ago. Forty-eight per cent, of the pupils are depositing. Mrs. George Knox, of Toronto, on Saturday last called to see Mrs. T. Oke, who has been ill at the home of Mr. G. Flynn, getting pected. They defeated Hensall Con­ tinuation -School in the games earlier in the season and the Lucan High School Girls twice. The most excit­ ing game of the series was played on Monday night in Lucan when Exeter defeated Lucan by the score of 5-4. The batteries for the local team were Ethel Kydd and Labelle Sims. Some spectacular catches were made by June Taylor of the local team. There will be no more games played this spring due to examinations but the pu'pils are anticipating already the County Track Meet which is to held the early fall in Exeter, Clothes of Quality BRAND • Mali! May volunteer­ ed to provide flowers for the pulpit during this month and Mrs. E. Snell for July. Mrs. W. Coates and Mrs. E. Rowcliiffe were apnotnted the vis­ iting committee for June and Mrs. F. Taylor and Mr’s. G. Williams and Mrs. H. May, the program commit­ tee for the next three months. Ar­ rangements were made for a congre­ gational canvas which it to take the place of the strawberry festival. The July meeting will take the form of a picnic- on the church lawn and will be held on Tuesday, July 7tli.
