spent the week-end with her mother

ents Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Abbott.
Helen Rowe, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Chester Rowe, who recently
underwent an operation in Victoria
Hospital, London, for facial trouble
returned home on Sunday.
Mrs. Wm. Ryckman, who has been
with her sister-in-law Mrs. Mooney,
qf London, for several weeks, has re
turned home. Mrs. Mooney is get
ting along as well as can 'be expect
ed.
Master Douglas Harness, who has
been in Victoria Hospital, London,
for several days owing to having
been struck in the eye by a snow
ball, returned home on Saturday.
He is able to be around with one
eye bandaged.

regular meeting of Lebanon Forest
Lodge A.F. & A.M. Monday evening.
IMr. Archie- Davis returned last
week from Westminster Hospital,
London, where he had been receiv
ing treatment. He is at present con
fined to his home with the flu.
Miss Margaret Ellerington, who
has been holidaying at her home
for the past three weeks has return
ed to- her duties as nurse-in-training
at Victoria Hospital, London.
Mr. Frank Mallett, of London,
and a former resident of Exeter, had
the misfortune to fall on Saturday
and as a result is confined to his
bed. Mrs. Mallett has been confin
ed to her bed since New eYars.
Mr J. G. Stanbury K.C., was at
Goderich on Thursday and Friday of
last week on the case of the Blyth
Flax Co. vs. McMur-chie Estate and
at Osgoode Hall, Toronto on Mon
day) of this week as Counsel in the
Goderich case of Allen vs. Allen in
appeal.

onto, was home to see her mother
Mrs. I. Jarrott, who has been sick in
Hensail, also her father, Mr. Jarrott
of Kippen, who lias- been imbed all
winter, also Mr. and Mrs. W. H.

stroke. He is serious.y ill and at
that time he was unable to recog
nize or respond by look or voice to
the entreaties from those he knew so
well.
A brilliant meteor which appear
ed to be about half the size of the
moon was observed to cross the sky
from west to east Sunday evening
shortly before seven o’clock and was
reported by Mr. W. F. Abbott It
was just at dtak and the sky was
lit up. 'The -meteor seemed to ex-*
plode a short distance from the
ground.
