Over fifty guests gathered at their home where the bridal couple of 50 years were showered with congratu­ lations and goo-d wishes, after which the party went to the base­ ment of the . Evangelical church where a wedding dinner was served by five grandchildren, Misses Joy Brunnerr, Lois Brunner and Eunice Oestriicher and Donald and Carl Oes­ tricker. .The bride’s table was centered with yellow marigolds and baby’s breath in a silver holder with tall yellow candles. Yellow daisies on the small tables and a tall standard of yellow hollyhocks were used effectively. Tiny white and gold sails stuck in orange slice gum- drops made pretty boats as favors. After the dinner Rev. J. M. Oes­ tricker, a son of the honored couple, was master of ceremonies and Ar­ thur J. Brunner led in a short sing song. Short addresses were given by Rev. J. A. Schmidt who officiated at the wedding fifty years ag.o- and also by Rev. H. A. Kellerman, a nephew of the bride who was before her’marriage Miss Elizabeth Keller­ man. Musical numbers included a quartette by the Brunner family, a piano duet by Mrs. A. E. Oestricher and Donald Oestricher and an oc­ tette by Mrs. A. J. Brunner, Miss Lois Brunner, Miss Joy Brunner, Mrs. A. E. Oeestricher, Mrssrs. A. Mrs. A. E. Oestricher, Messrs. A. Brunner and A. E. Oestricher. Mr. and Mrs. Oestricher fifty years ago settled on a farm in Ste­ phen Township near Crediton and in 1-898 moved to a farm in Hay Township near Dashwood, where they lived until retiring to the vil­ lage of Dashwood in T919. They have been loyal and active mem­ bers of the Dashwood Evangelical Church for over forty years, Mr. Oestricher having been the Sunday School president, choir leader and a member of the Board of Trustees for a number of years. “"Eight guests who attended the original wedding were present at thie anniversary. Celebrate Silver Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hopkraft, well known and highly respected re­ sidents of this village celebrated their silver wedding anniversary at their home on Friday afternoon. Mr». Hopkraft, who was formerly Mass Alma Hopf oi Minto township was united in marriage with Thos. Hop­ kraft at the home of her parents in the year 1910 by Rev. Andrew D. Robb of Harriston. The attendants were Mr. Burn W. Witmore and K. Ward of Harriston. A dainty wedding dinner was serv­ ed to about sixty guests at a long table on the lawn. The table was at­ tractive with a four storey wedding cake which was prettily decorated. The waitresses were Misses Gertrude Hoffman, Mary Mclsaac, Edna Wil* ert and Mrs. Oscar Miller, Guests from out of town included Mr. and Mrs. Brandon ahd Mrs. North of London, Mr. and Mrs. Hemphill of Wroxeter.
