building an addition tojt by the way
of enlarging it and also adding other
improvements. The building has a fine location "and the improvements
will add greatly to the appearance
of his farm.

The Young People of the United
Church met on Monday evening for
Missionary night. The meeting was
in charge of Miss Margaret Hobkirk.

Lamihie accompanying him on the(
violin. The topic was taken by Mrs
Filshie; instrumental by Miss Greta
Lammie. Next Monday evening will
be a Hallowe’en Social. A good pro
gram is being prepared.

The Christian Endeavor meeting
last Friday evening had. a splendid
number of young people in attend"
ance. Irene Fahrner occupied . the
chair and conducted the song service
and offered prayer. 'Clinton Mor-
lock read the scripture lesson. Elva
Wuerth rendered Rubenstein’s Mel
ody as a piano solo. The topic was
given by "'Ruby Finkbeiner. Vocal
duett by Mrs. Emmery Fahrner and
Mrs. Gordon Moi’lock; reading by
Margaret Kuhn. The president, E
Haist read a letter from an absent
member, it was heard with great
interest and the meeting asked the
president to reply. At the’ close com
mittees and plans"were designated
for the Hallowe’en social to be held
this Wednesday evening.. The invi
tation extended by Margaret Kuhn
to hold this young people’s social
at their home met with acceptance.
The last week of each month is
Missionary week at the Evangelical
church. Missionary prayer meeting^
