Four great tables extended across the width of the carefully whitewashed and dec orated shed and at noon three hun dred members of this relation were seated for a sumptuous meal. These were the descendants of that early and sturdy pioneer Jacob I-Iaist and Ills wife Anna Maria, who emigrat ed from Beiersbrunn, Germany in the year 183'5 and settled in the Niagara Penninsula. Three sons David, Christian and Michael made their permanent home in Pelham Township, Welland County. • Two sons and two daughters moved to Stephen township, Huron County. The pastor, W. M. Sippell, 'welcomed them in the name of the trustees- of the congregation. Miss Gertrude Haist, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ.
