Mr. Kenneth Mallett, of London, visiting, at the Central Hotel. Former Crediton Pnstojr Rev. S. M. Mauch, .Passes News has reached the village of recent death of Rev. S. M. Hauch in a Chicago Hospital. He was born in Alsfeldt, Ont., in 1865, attended the North central Seminary, Naperville, Ill., and became a member of the Evangelical Conference of Ontario, and served a numiber of important charges In the churlch—Chesley, Kit­ chener' Stratford and Crediton. From the latter charge he was transferred to the Northwest Canada Conference of the church and served at Winnipeg and appointments further west. He was presiding elder for a number of years, and on several occasionss a member of the general conference. In failing health it became necessary for him to superannuate, and finally moved to Galien, Mich., with ’ a brother. His remains were interred at Winnipeg, Man. is the. Open Air Mission Festival The open air mission festival held on the Lutheran church grounds in Dashwood on Sunday, July 26th was well attended, the congregations-av­ eraging, about 500 in number at each of the three services. A goodly number of guests were present from Logan, Zurich, Monkton, London and other neighboring points. Rev, F, Brasch, the speaker at the morning service in an eloquent address show­ ed that the love to Jesus, the Saviour is the chief requisite and driving power in all mission work. Rev. E.
